Wouldn't call them indie.

Sorry You're Not A Winner was alright, don't really like anything else they've done though.

Not indie, but I have liked them for quite a while and you call them 'big' already really  Best thing about them is the fact they are staying UNSIGNED and doing it all themselves ^_^

You're right, they're not indie, but if they're unsigned, does that make them independant and there fore indie? :P Or do they have to be signed to an independant label to be indie? Everything is so distorted

Independant label to be Indie but I don't know if they're doing it by setting up their own label or just releasing everything themselves but they'd be an 'Indie' band, yes kinda. I'm not sure how to explain it all really

The Matchsticks (Previously called "The Flying Matchstick Men") they released duvet this year and supported numorous bands and their playing hogmanay!!

they got loads of interest from the majors but decided to do it all themselves. distribution and marketing being done by the indie firm that handed Jose Gonzalez earlier this year

Mannequins Breathe is an interesting new act from Canada. It's almost like 70s art rock with a modern twist.

No video to upload as of yet but I believe UK band Jutes are going to be quite successful in the latter part of 2008. Their track Bluebell Hill should go down well at festival appearances next summer and build their following ready for a release.

A band I have liked for sometime... Milburn

The single just missed the Top 40 this week.... check it out on Youtube

I was just about to mention Milburn, I liked Cheshire Cat Smile but What Will You Do (When The Money Goes) from their new album is even better ^_^

nah indie and alternative is more of an ethos and vibe rather than just what the label is, because big corps have so much money to buy whatever they like they can do. its not just about having guitars in the group or being urchin rockers as indie can involve tweepop stuff as well ansd alternative dance dudes as well

btw think the foo fighters should be in the punk and metal section just because nirvana were quite important in that area, probs one of the most important
