April 24, 20233 yr Maybe its known already but Steps never had a number 1 single here in Ireland but did manage 1 number 1 album with Gold.
April 25, 20233 yr What was the closest they came? Surely #2 with 'Heartbeat/Tragedy'? I know 'Stomp' kinda bombed there for a UK #1 single.
April 25, 20233 yr I suppose when you consider that they only had two UK #1 singles and releases by UK acts nearly always chart lower in Ireland, it doesn't seem that surprising they didn't manage one.

April 26, 20233 yr I suppose '5, 6, 7, 8' didn't even peak that high in the UK anyway, DSOB's performance was a crime but I guess it was a late single in the album campaign (same for H&N). As for WANE... I can see why and excuse that one
