May 14, 20232 yr Author 01 Jo 46 solos in 74 songs, 62% Of course, it's not even close at the top. Jo has a solo in 62% of S Club's tracks, including every single they released apart from Natural...! It's easy to hear why, too. Jo's voice is incomparable and is part of the defining sound of S Club. Some of my particular favourite Jo moments include Have You Ever (especially going into that final chorus!) and how beautifully restrained she sounds on Straight from the Heart. Unsurprisingly, Jo also took the lead on S Club 3's Family, and although both versions of You count for Jo as well as Rachel, it doesn't make even a small difference to the result. May 14, 20232 yr The Queen of S Club :cheeseblock: Such a fantastic voice so totally understandable that she was pushed to the forefront, although I feel like some singles could have thrown a bone at other members where they could have at least taken a line if not a whole verse.
May 14, 20232 yr Author I was reminded recently that Paul took the middle 8 of You're My Number One on the last tour, definitely feels like a missed opportunity to share vocals around even a little, as much as I adore Jo's voice!
