I like to start with Dutch girl duet Chess, which was discovered after compiling my (famous) top 100 girl group songs list and had some #1 hits in my retrospective chart.

Chess - Never Change A Winning Team (1987) (My second favourite single from that year, only behind Cheryl Baker - If Paradise Is Half As Nice)

Chartrun : 1-1-1-1-1-2-2-3-3-3-5-4-6-7-9-9-10-10-11-12-13-15-16-17-17-17-19

Chess - Make My Day (1987)

Chartrun : 9-6-5-3-1-1-2-2-3-4-4-6-8-9-10-11-13-15-16-18-20

Chess - Promise Not To Tell (1988)

Chartrun : 10-9-4-1-2-2-6-9-9-13-13-14-16-17-17-18-18

In 1991 charts Chess got 4th number one hit "I Dreamed A Dream", but it's parallel work with Haven forum. We are only in May now, so I didn't compile all 1991 charts and can't post full chartrun on this moment of time)

Top 10 from 5th May 1991, when Chess did it again. In the "current" chart they were dethroned by my SOTY and British ESC entry (Samantha Janus - A Message To Your Heart).

01. ( 04 ) Chess - I Dreamed A Dream (3 weeks) (1 week at # 1)

02. ( 01 ) Vixen - Not A Minute Too Soon (8 weeks)

03. ( 02 ) Izabella Scorupco - I Write You A Love Song (10 weeks)

04. ( 06 ) Sharon O'Neill - Poster Girl (6 weeks)

05. ( 07 ) Hanny - Liefde Is Lekker Maar Lekker Is Niet Altijd Liefde (5 weeks)

06. ( 03 ) Tove Naess - Lat Mig Se Ett Under (5 weeks)

07. ( 08 ) Towe Jaarnek - Ett Liv Med Dej (2 weeks)

08. ( 05 ) Axelle Red - Kennedy Boulevard (11 weeks)

09. ( 09 ) Tanja Jonak - Hand In Hand In Die Sonne (7 weeks)

10. ( 10 ) Annette Heick and Egil Eldoen - Du Er Musikken I Mit Liv (7 weeks)

Pop duo Swedish group Graaf released songs in 98 up to 2001

Graaf had 3 number one hits in my chart (Give It Up, Never Never, Heartbreaker) and Hannah's solo "Naughty Boy" is my all-time # 1 Melodifestivalen song.

"Heartbreaker" :wub:

Angel - Sommaren I City (1991) (# 7 in Sweden)

Oooh yes! I love Sommaren i City - it's a summer anthem here.

Troll is another one I think about when I think about Swedish girl groups that aren't known outside Sweden:

Maywood - Mother, How Are You Today

A song released by the Dutch duo Maywood in 1979. It peaked at #10 in the Dutch chart, according to Wikipedia.

It is highly popular in Indonesia among all generations and always played during their National Mother's Day (December 22nd).
