This is how the first 5 days of streaming go for Say Something, Padam and Tension

 

 

Padam at this point overtook Tension in daily streams, and Tension basically had the same recovery as Say Something on its 5th day (both grew by around 7% compared to Sunday). Hopefully that's not a sign of further decline of Tension and it can be stable, especially with the Capital airplay kicking in. Let's see how it goes tomorrow.

Hee hee, I don't think you can compare Tension to Say Something . They are all just playlist dependent even with Padam Padam. Interesting to see the stats but we just need to see what Tension can do and what BMG tricks they have to support it.

Yes, we need Hot Hits as I keep saying. That's the only way it's really gonna make significant headway.

Despite (quite predictably) falling out of the top-200, Tension actually gained in overall streams yesterday! Unlike with SS, which fell on Tuesday.

Hopefully it stabilises at around 400-500k for the time being and gets back to the UK top-200.

 

I compared it with Say Sonethung because it showed a classical trajectory of a fanbase single. So far it looks like Tension in terms of the bigger audience reach will be somewhere between that and Padam, which is awesome, if you ask me.

Padam padam had a novelty element in it that just caught on very well which i understand but as good as it is i do prefer Tension myself. I think both are excellent single choices and both are doing the business for Kylie.

398,411 streams for Tension yesterday. Slightly down, but overall stable! Shame it doesn’t do just a little bit more to be visible in the UK top-200!

Out of the top 10 now, I'm sure it will be back, at the beginning of the week I had thought it might stay number 1 for most of the week so I didn't really expect that it wouldn't be top 20 at this point.

351 917 streams for Tension yesterday, that means a significant decline day-to-day. But still, we had this week and hopefully it will still stabilise at over 300k next week!

Seems to be slipping quite rapidly on Apple, down to #48 now.

Well she does have 13 Olivia Rodrigo songs ahead so I think it's doing OK. I hope it can do another week top 40 as it should be able too on album release week
