Excited for this! Its been too long without new music from Dua.
Perfect. So this is basically the Swan Song before DL3 launch hopefully the end of the year or early next year :cheer:
However I fully expect a huge era this time then a decline, she hasn't got a massive likeability and the songs speak more than the overall image

Remember this probably isn't from her album and doesn't necessarily reflect what to expect sonically from said album which – I think – is going to be a change from FN.

I think we should wait to see what sound and image she goes for album 3.

This single feels like it's closing the chapter on the disco sound before era 3 which hopefully happens end of this year. In my opinion, her image, much improved live presence and the videos during Future Nostalgia did help sell the music (which was already outstanding)

She did say in her Variety interview that new album is still pop but with a different sound to FN. She's also working with new producers like Kevin Parker, Danny L Harle and Mark Ronson

Now THIS is the UK baddie and the Barbie :cheeseblock:

Hopefully this doesn't eat up the hype for DL3, but then again Swan Song didn't and 'overexposure' doesn't really work like it used to. Here for one last disco hurrah, it sounds a lot more classic disco than FN!

From Dua's Dazed magazine cover story:

“I can take the heat / baby best believe, that’s the moment I shine,” she sings, her words punctuated by handclaps.

With ribbony strings and bass that sizzles, it brilliantly deploys every rule in the disco-funk playbook to hit your hedonic hotspots with a sledgehammer"
