Calling was a big #1 in Russia wasn't it.

No, it wasn't a #1 single. It's a myth that was perpetuated by some fans. There is / was no official singles chart in Russia.

I remember Calling being a bit hit in Russia, specially on radio, but yeah the #1 thing is a myth/a lie fabricated by fans, im afraid...

"Calling" was # 1 for two weeks in EuropePlus chart (it's the one from the most popular radio stations here).

Full charts archive is available in Internet. Four # 1 songs : Mi Chico Latino, Lift Me Up, It's Raining Men, Calling

All her stats : https://eurohittop40.ru/performer/geri-halliwell

"Calling" at # 1 weeks :

Surprisingly (for me) "It's Raining Men" was more successful in their chart, but "Calling" aged much better and now it's the most remembered her single in Russia.

Possibly a half of comments under "Calling" video on Youtube are from Russians.

Yes, there is no official chart, but the most important hitlists were MTV Russia Top 20 and EuropePlus chart (Eurohit top 40).

Geri was # 1 in EuropePlus chart with four different songs. Sadly I didn't save old notepad with MTV charts, but most # 1 songs were from Russian acts.
