It's a week-late chart with Tattoo on 2 at the top, due to being in the Canaries without a laptop, but with too many good new tracks still dropping so I've been forced to make it 100 again, doh! Even the drop-outs are still fresh and should be charting. Hey ho. Noel Gallagher gets his 4th top 10 since Oasis, there are 2 Satellite's in the top 40, Harry Styles at 27 joining Bebe and Snoop at 2 almost 40 years on from OMD using that song title first.

 

Highest new entry is a melancholy Taylor Swift, Karma at 41, as she continues to use her spare time to bung out music at a rapid pace, and Niall Horan follows-up his Heaven-ly chart-topper at 49 with Meltdown. Kylie drops her new Padam Padam heart-beat dance track at 78 before her Oliver Heldens collab has even left the 20. Looks like she's gone full-on 2023 in sound this time, after country and disco recent successes. Florence is back with former top 3 Dog Days Are Over, which has already had a top 10 comeback a year later in 2010 - this time it's thanks to Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 using it as the play-out song.

 

There's more Eurovision from Dadi Freyr's cover of Atomic Kitten, his 3rd chart entry, and the Irish track that didn't make the final (Wild Youth). Then there's more dance from Roisin Murphy, The Universe extending the chart run Moloko-style to 25 years, Rita Ora revamps Fatboy Slim, Praising You making it 2 Norman revamps on the chart (see Bimini), and Anne-Marie has an unlikely collab with Shania Twain.

 

Lana Del Ray suggests she has some gems in her unreleased back catalogue, Say Yes To Heaven, Blur return for the first time in 8 years, extending their chart run to 32 years - though Damon Albarn is of course still charting with Gorillaz at 51. That leaves Tom Speight at 100, fresh from seeing him in concert t'other week and his 2nd entry after his 2021 top 10 Everything's Waiting For You. If I knew how to post photos on Buzzjack, I would post the one of him singing right next to me. I mean on the actual audience floor without a microphone, actual right next to me. Actually.

That's a great climb for Miracle. Very decent song! I think it's days at #1 are numbered officially though.

Karma is great. I don't really think the ice spice inclusion was necessary but if it gives them both a hit then why not.

I actually thought Padam Padam would be higher here. It's a great song though. Definitely Kylie's best in years!

I got over praising you quickly unfortunately but I do appreciate that it's a good version of the song.

Cupid is a cute bop! Glad to see that one enter and it should enter for me soon as well.

Oh Baby Dont Hurt Me is not a patch on the original, but it has a cheesy appeal - and TBH anyone under 35 probably have never heard the original hah! :o Inner Light sounds better the more you hear it, subtle tracks often get under-appreciated in BJSC.

 

Yes a shame about Edgar on first, kiss of death in Eurovision and it's quirkily fab! Yes a big climb for Kylie coming, Padam! And thanks for the david Holmes tip! My chart is bursting at the seams with new stuff right now :o :o :lol:

Great for Tattoo and It's not just Loreen doing well, it's the first ESC to have 4 top 10's out of it (beating 1974's record of 3 and 1 top 20) and more in the Top 75 than ever before I think :o :o :yahoo: I love it when the charts reflect my opinion :lol:

 

Kim seems to have a habit of advance tracks not being available, she had that one with Boy George I wanted to buy but by the time the album came out I'd forgotten about it and never did buy it - though that was prob George's record label decision, Kim, George, we're getting older and just won't remember to buy it so wait till it's out! :lol:

 

I agree about the new catchy Sparks single, theyve gone retro for the guitars and stuff so it would fit comfortably in with 1974 hits, or maybe New Wave era anyway. And yes, a newborn baby wanting to go back to the womb totally unimpressed with the new life outside after mere minutes. :lol: It's got some good tracks on it the new album, so as usual Ive cherry picked. Simon got tickets to the Royal Albert Hall. I'm not at all jealous, really I'm not, not even the slightest bit well jell :teresa: :lol:
