Posted June 1, 20232 yr Hi my huns Just had an idea Would you guys like a steps album where each song featured someone? Just thinking a lot of "legacy" acts do this these days to try and get a hit again. Elton did it will, Fadge is trying to do it with Sam Smith on the Vulgur song. And if we think this is a good idea, who do you think they would be good to collaborate with? Would need to be someone to match their energy and star quality. Just Carol Honey ❤️
June 1, 20232 yr Welcome back queen! I feel Michelle Visage was such a good choice, I’d struggle to think of one suitably amazing.
June 1, 20232 yr I wouldnt against this, and i would would it any day over a swing style album which would be my nightmare Steps album. Michelle Visage did work really well and just fitted in with Steps.
June 1, 20232 yr No I wouldn't at all. I like the idea of one off collabs but otherwise stick to their own albums. I also struggle to think of many who could work well with Steps, Michelle was a great choice in the end. I think Kylie would have worked excellently in her place if they could have got her (fat chance of that though), they could have re-recorded BTDYK with her then aswell as a b-side, that would have been cool. In terms of one off or novelty albums, I would be ok with a Christmas album if it was a full on cheesy pop fun one. Also I wouldn't mind an all covers album with the right songs. They have some excellent covers Tragedy, BTDYK, Chain Reaction being the big ones but also the lesser known covers like SOAH and SIYE. Plus the name of the album is ripe for the picking "Step Back In Time." Edited June 1, 20232 yr by spiceboy
