Posted June 10, 20232 yr 800 m - 1:55.47 (!!!) It was fantastic run. It's not only British record, but also the best European result on this distance since 1:55.19 from Slovenian Jolanda Cheplak in 2002 year. VUC15X5z1AQ Edited June 10, 20232 yr by Last Dreamer
June 11, 20232 yr "I am super happy," Hodgkinson said. "It was perfect conditions out there and I wanted to be brave and attack it. "The last time I ran that time was an Olympic final. Hopefully I can keep this momentum going, stay healthy and hopefully come August [for the World Championships]there might be something more special

August 6, 2024Aug 6 Legend of the sport. And she's still so young so could get a couple more titles. Loved seeing the clips of her throughout her childhood/life as it really shows you the journey she has been on. Yes to a SPOTY nomination. If Josh Kerr also wins I could see him being the main challenger.

Kerr is nowhere near as likeable though, Keeley gives off humble vibes whereas Kerr is way more arrogant and unlikeable (although personally I think this is a trait athletics needs!).
August 6, 2024Aug 6 Author All-time third result for European athlete !!! :cheer: Maybe it was the most impressive result in female running in 21st century since 21.63 on 200m for Dafne Schippers (2015) when she beat European record from Marita Koch (1979). August 6, 2024Aug 6 I hope Keely does win SPOTY, her run to win Olympic gold was brilliant, highlight of the Games so far. She is the tenth British athlete to win a gold medal in athletics at the Olympics. Sorry all. Only just seen this and deleted the posts.
August 6, 2024Aug 6 Author Why UK don't have seperated awards for Sportsman of the Year and Sportswoman of the Year ? For sample Lithuania did it since 2014.
