January 4, 200718 yr Worse album - Robbie Williams 'Rudebox' (goes without saying...) So have you actually heard it then? It's actually one of my favourites and much better than Robbie's normal stuff imo. Least Favourite Album Bought: Paolo Nutini - These Streets, don't hate it but it doesn't have THAT many good tracks. Disappointing Follow-Up - The Streets - The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living Worst Album: Westlife - The Love Album
January 4, 200718 yr So have you actually heard it then? It's actually one of my favourites and much better than Robbie's normal stuff imo. They probably heard the singles though... You dont really need to hear an entire album to know you aint gonna like it.. I mean, would you subject yourself to Paris Hilton or Westlife all the way through...?
January 4, 200718 yr They probably heard the singles though... You dont really need to hear an entire album to know you aint gonna like it.. I mean, would you subject yourself to Paris Hilton or Westlife all the way through...? Good point  But what I mean is that it's not as bad as the press make it out to be but it was the 'goes without saying' bit that made me ask why. But yeah I understand it was the answer to the question that I answered with Westlife in mine.
January 4, 200718 yr It's okay Scott. :P It seems i'm the only one that likes it anyway. :( You are not alone-I love it  My worst bought of 2006 was Bob Sinclar-Western Dream Worst follow up would have to be Christina Aguilera-Back to Basics Worst overall would be Orson's dreadful album
January 4, 200718 yr Good point  But what I mean is that it's not as bad as the press make it out to be I've never really liked Robbie to be honest, but that's a personal thing, he just aint my cup of tea, and I find him pretty arrogant as a person. I'd never say that any of his solo work would merit the tag 'worst of the year' though, because at the end of the day, he's not a talent-free manufactured piece of crapola, he writes all his own songs, performs live, constantly tours and didn't need to resort to any sordid publicity stunts to kickstart his career...
January 4, 200718 yr They probably heard the singles though... You dont really need to hear an entire album to know you aint gonna like it.. I mean, would you subject yourself to Paris Hilton or Westlife all the way through...? I'd agree with this in alot of cases, such as Westlife cause you just know it's gonna be full of covers of horrible mushy ballads  , however 'Rudebox' is certainly not an album you can judge on the singles. It has so many different types of music on it, and the single 'Rudebox' certainly has'nt done the album any favours imo as it is by far one of the worst on it. -_-
January 5, 200718 yr You're putting Westlife in the same sentence as The Killers or Snow Patrol???? Yeah, cos musically they are so much alike....  I'm unsure about what you mean by "anything like that"... Do you object to bands who actually play musical instruments and actually have a bit of musical talent (not including Westlife, naturally.. )...? I know what you mean, I shouldn't have included Westlife along with The Killers, Snow Patrol etc as they are nothing alike, but I still can't stand them though!!! I suppose I don't like any bands like The Killers, Keane, Snow Patrol etc who all play their own instruments, but I'm not saying they don't have talent, its that it ain't my sort of thing at all!! :P :D
January 5, 200718 yr I understand why a few people are putting Oral Fixation, because if you bought it on the back of Hips Don't Lie, the rest of the album is nothing like that. I don't think Back To Basics is a disappointing follow up because really, it's just as inconsistent as Stripped was. For worst follow up, I'd probably say Gwen Stefani - Sweet Escape. Really poor compared to LAMB, and what annoys me the most is that she's being kooky for the sake of being kooky. Other poor ones I'd say would be Razorlight, which was annoying because of how rubbish it was and also because of how much Johnny Borrell bigged it up. Stadium Arcadium was disappointing as well I felt. It's so long that you can't be bothered finding the good tracks. Killer's new album was pretty bland as well I thought. As for Lily Allen, I just think her album is brilliant. I can't understand how I can like every single song but others call it the worst album of the year... Edited January 5, 200718 yr by Ashley
January 5, 200718 yr Ashley I'm with you on Lily Allen.I love her album.Every song is fab.Alfie's just so catchy and brilliant.
January 14, 200718 yr Author I understand why a few people are putting Oral Fixation, because if you bought it on the back of Hips Don't Lie, the rest of the album is nothing like that. Album bought: I'd say Shakira as all the tracks, apart from Dreams for Plans and Hips Don't Lie, are just boring or rubbish!!! are these both new tracks added to v2? nearly got v1 to go with the Spanish vol 1
