  • Curacao aren't the best example as I would say currently they are at or above a Honduras or Costa Rica and those countries have done things in World Cups. Keep in mind Curacao is mostly made up play

Indeed, an great result for Finland.

I see that the Poland head coach Michal Probierz has resigned as head coach, after an row with Robert Lewandowski who said that he wouldn't play for the national team again as long as Probierz was the coach.

In Group H, we'll see an country make an return to the World Cup after an absence:

Bosnia-Herzegovina: One appearance in 2014

Austria: Last appearance was in 1998

Romania: Last appearance was also in 1998.

Barring an miracle, it would be Cyprus's first World Cup and in odds probably triple the size of when Leicester City won the Premier League, San Marino.

Matchday 5 - Thursday

Group A

Luxembourg 1-3 Northern Ireland

Slovakia 2-0 Germany

Group E

Georgia 2-3 Turkey

Bulgaria 0-3 Spain

Group G

Lithuania 1-1 Malta

Netherlands 1-1 Poland

Group J

Kazakhstan 0-1 Wales

Lichtenstein 0-6 Belgium

That Slovakia result has definitely made Group A look tasty.

Slovakia surely shaking up Group A as LewisGT said.

Also Turkey continues to look strong, 2002-era strong. Look at this 9/7 match vs. Spain, if they win that things could become very interesting in Group E as well. The Georgia away match was going to be a tough one for the top teams and Turkey has already survived it with 3 points.

Poland getting a point in Rotterdam is also very interesting.

Really happy with a point away from home to the top seeds and the favorites to win the group. Defended brilliantly and limited Denmark to very few clear cut opportunities
