  • Italy could face either Sweden or North Macedonia. The two teams that knocked them out of the last two World Cup play-offs. 👀

  • Curacao aren't the best example as I would say currently they are at or above a Honduras or Costa Rica and those countries have done things in World Cups. Keep in mind Curacao is mostly made up play

We're at the halfway stage of European qualifying, even though most teams have only played once. Surprise names like Northern Ireland, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Iceland sit in automatic qualifying positions while the play-offs are set to include Germany, Italy, France, Denmark and,... San Marino!

Enjoyed that second half in Dublin at least tonight.

Kelleher unreal in nets as ever!

Matchday 6 - Monday

Group B

Kosovo 2-0 Sweden

Switzerland 3-0 Slovenia

Group C

Belarus 0-2 Scotland

Greece 0-3 Denmark

Group I

Israel 4-5 Italy

Group L

Croatia 4-0 Montenegro

Gibraltar 0-1 Faroe Islands

The Kosovo result was a bit surprising, though personally I have the two nations ranked pretty closely just Sweden has the pedigree.

The Israel/Italy was wild, with the lead changing multiple times, Italy having two own goals, Israel tying it in the 89th and Italy winning it in stoppage time. I will say Moise Kean looks like the new Balotelli for Italy. I won't be surprised if you all see his name come up for the next big transfer window from Fiorentina.

If Italy hadn't got a result yesterday they'd have probably screwed up qualifying yet again.

True, but they've already lost to Norway once 3-0, so they're already behind the 8-ball as it is.

Horrible result for Ireland tonight, Duff for president!!!
