Spain v Costa Rica just about to start - they've been talking about Spain's 'player rebellion' which caused 15 of their players to leave the national squad, will be interesting to see how that affects them here.

An own goal puts Spain ahead - it did look like it was coming, Spain have been very dominant so far.

Well when it rains it pours, 3-0 to Spain now!

And so the game finished 3-0 - a very good performance from the Costa Rican goalkeeper in the second half to prevent any more going in.

A 5-0 win for Japan against Zambia, with Zambia's goalkeeper getting sent off late in the game as well. Unfortunatel for Zambia but expected as the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, and they're probably quite lucky the scoreline wasn't a bit higher!

Some more easy wins for Japan against Costa Rica and Spain against Zambia to put them through and their opponents out. I do think the highlights were a bit harsh on Zambia, they did have a few chances to score in that game!

A stunning win for Japan against Spain - they could be a real contender this tournament! Although seeing how Norway have been improving their next match could be a tough one. Nice to see Zambia get their first World Cup win as well, shows that they can really play when against an even opponent!
