August 4, 20233 yr Central Cee definitely has to be the worst "artist" to come out of the UK for the past few years. Literally no redeeming features of his act.
August 4, 20233 yr oop at Lizzo getting ignored by R1 despite the big climb, I do suppose that will end up being the song's peak now anyway as it's taken a bit of a hit on Spotify already. pleased to see DBE falling fairly rapidly now too, though that song was never going to be a long-lasting hit. Jung Kook really tanking now too I suppose was also to be expected. I do hope Drake & Central Cee make a 'proper' song together before long, this freestyle doesn't really have any replay value to it.
August 4, 20233 yr Why all the big spiel about Radio 1 playing Sinead? She was a legendary artist who inspired loads going forward, the song isn't rude, and most importantly it entered the effing top 40! Such a wanky comment.
August 4, 20233 yr I actually like this....... ...like peas and rice, you never get treated nice B-) I almost spilled my coffee at the rhyme lol rice and nice :D hahaha Drake the Poet :D
August 4, 20233 yr Looking forward to hearing 'Baddadan' based on that feature list - great to see Chase And Status back in the top 40 as lead artist and bringing IRAH and Takura in for the first time with them, they've been involved with some previous major bangers from C&S *.* Gwan Flowdan going from 0 top 40 hits to 2 this year as well, quite a way into his career! (Joseph calling it a racket is also a good sign xx). I listened to 'Nothing Compares 2 U' again the other day and I did enjoy it a little more than I remembered - her vocals on it are great, I just find the song overall a bit too long and tedious - still lovely to see it re-entering in tribute, RIP. why is it called a freestyle? it's clearly not :D Most 'freestyles' are not actually made up on the spot if that's what you mean, the term refers more to the format than anything else these days.

August 4, 20233 yr Author 24 | 83 | 15th week Post Malone Chemical 1st single from AUSTIN Released: 14th April 2023 Label: Mercury Records / Republic Records Chart Statistics NE (27/04/2023) | 11-13-14-14-13-12-16-18-21-68-78-77-72-68-83-24 Sales: 200k+ Certification: Silver Status: Standard Chart Ratio 16 Sales 18 Audio Streaming 45 Video Streaming Video IzPQ_jA00bk Biography When Austin Post uploaded “White Iverson” to social media in early 2015, he was 19, scrounging for ramen and sleeping in a friend’s closet. Plenty has changed, but Post’s appeal is more or less the same. No matter how Platinum the records go, he still has the air of an ordinary guy, a Crocs-and-Bud Light kid from the suburbs who stumbled backward into fame just by strumming what was in his heart. Post didn’t just look beyond genre, he broke it down, mixing the dark grandeur of trap with the anthemic release of classic rock and country. His signature tracks—“rockstar”, “Sunflower”, “Congratulations”—were both bleak and beautiful, spaced-out and mainstream, hip-hop but not quite. The bass boomed, the melodies soared, and there was Post in the middle, rap-singing his woes like a lonely prince self-exiled in the castle. At live shows, there were no dancers, no pyrotechnics, just Post, in a baggy football jersey with a cigarette in his hand, bringing 60,000 people into his bedroom: The pop star as moody teen. Born in 1995 in Syracuse, New York, and raised in the suburbs of Dallas, Post grew up on a mix of country, classic rock and rap: In one well-circulated anecdote, young Post would get called into the living room to entertain Dad and friends with the dance to Terror Squad’s “Lean Back”. He turned a love for the video game Guitar Hero into a love of actual guitar, playing in a metal band during high school while also starting to explore hip-hop. “White Iverson” led to Post’s 2016 debut, Stoney; beerbongs & bentleys burrowed further into Post’s luxurious, messy melancholy, while 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding found him buttoning up and moving closer to the conventions of mainstream pop, all while retaining his peculiar touch. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2016 50 Fade (Kanye West feat. August 4, 20233 yr don't get why this hasn't been bigger, crazy spotify support being #1 on HH for ages
August 4, 20233 yr Good to see Posty get some chart recognition from his album, 'Chemical' is most certainly one of the better tracks on a mostly bland album
August 4, 20233 yr Glad to see 'Chemical' getting a solid second wind from the album release! The Lizzo song is really not very good so I'm not mourning it if her controversy ends up tanking it - I was skeptical if it would have any effect on her but I guess she did cultivate the kind of fanbase that's more likely to care about these controversies unlike certain other artists.
August 4, 20233 yr It seems like Post Malone lost his cool factor and popularity with wider music consumers. I haven't heard his new album but Chemical is a nice track.
