It's a first-ever chart-topper for Olivia Rodrigo and her fab Vampire sucking fangs into a New York Transit Queen, leaving Noel Gallagher as the only top 10 debut, his second of the year and 5th since Oasis split. Highest new entry is Duran Duran, back with a new sound, semi-rap, and dark, Danse Macabre giving them 42 years of chart entries, and well over 30 top 20's.

Idina Menzel gets avery quick 2nd top 20 with a track from her new album, Funny Kind Of Lonely at 18, while Delta Goodrem finally gets a top 40 and top 20 hit after debuting in 2003 - so it's only gone and taken her 20 years of trying! Persistence pays off as Back To Your Heart leaps to 17. Miley Cyrus is new at 35 with Used To Be Young, the 4th top 40 track off her latest album, and Madonna gets her first top 40 track in a few years courtesy of The Weeknd.

Bvereley Knight gets two top 40's in a row as her Systematic Overloads, and The Killers are back at 53 with new track Your Side Of Town 19 years on from debuting and me buying Hot Fuss in Florida. Sophie Ellis-Bextor is stargazing and adds to her lengthy list, this year and over the last 23 years, Alison Goldfrapp charts her 5th track off the new album, Tom Speight makes it 2 since I saw him in concert, Grace Carter gets a new one, Rick Astley keeps his comeback coming 36 years on from THAT record, and Selena Gomez is starring in Only Murders In The Building (see Meryl Streep up to 36) and also grabs her 7th chart entry in 8 years, including top 10 Good For You. That leaves the return of Agnetha Faltskog, recently back with ABBA's unexpected Voyage album gift, and Abbatar concert experience, both brilliant. Where Do We Go From Here is a bonus new track for her revamped/remixed 10-year-old album A, which was rather good originally. That becomes her 12th solo chart entry, including 2 chart-toppers, in 40 years, or her zillionth in almost 50 years including ABBA stuff.

Hey John!

Aw yay for vampire finally getting to your #1. A very worthy contender for song of the year imo.

Don't think twice getting a new peak  that's fantastic to see 6 weeks in.

Used to be young is lovely. I donlive when she releases these wee gems cause they're far and few between.

Your side of town is great. It actually reminds me of lonely town a little bit with it 80's influence. It's a great killers song though!

Freak me now still climbing  hopefully it can keep going for you. I've no idea why I like it so much myself but I really do.

Single soon is fun and the video is great. Hopefully this one can do amazing things here.

Hey James! :)

I agree about Vampire, could well be a contender for song of the year, glad you like the new Miley, and the new Killers sounds a bit New Order or Pet Shop Boys in the late 80's. Freak Me Now is fine and Single is a goodie too, I love Selena in Only Murders In The Building with 2 veteran comics as part of the team :yahoo:

Thanbks for the comments and picks! B-)

Totall agree about The Killers track, It shouts out True Faith, I know they are fans of New Order so maybe they get a credit  And yay Agnetha!
