I was out for my walk today and listening to one of my random playlists and Natural came on. My mind immediately jumped to when I bought it as a CD single back in 2000. I can still remember the shop.

It then got me thinking and running through all my S Club purchases over the years and whether or not I could remember where I bought everything from Funnily enough I could, well for almost everything.

I thought it'd be a fun idea to have a thread where we can share our memories of when or where we got all of our S Club stuff. :)

I'll start with the first era:

S Club (album): I can vaguely remember seeing this at a Sanity store in late 1999, I'd told my Mum I wanted it for Christmas (though I think she already knew). She got me to leave the shop for some reason. I can remember finding it in my Christmas stocking on Christmas morning. So whilst I didn't get it myself I'm going to presume it came from that sanity store.

Bring It All Back (single): This I can remember buying on a Friday night from a Target store. Not my local one either, so I've got no idea why I would've even been there. Needless to say I remember seeing it can buying it!

S Club Party (single): I seem to recall buying this at my local video shop back when they use to have a stand of singles and albums for sale.

Two In A Million (single): I remember a Christmas summer holiday buying this in January alongside Steps single Say You'll Be Mine/Better The Devil You Know. This was from the same Sanity I'm sure my Mum got the S Club album from. I also recall being so disappointed that not only did it not feature You're My Number one (my preferred two of the double a at the time) but none of the b-sides either. :(

Miami 7 vol 1 & 2 (VHS): Each VHS only consisted of three episodes and that's all we got here in Australia, nothing else after those two (six episodes) got released. I got vol 1 from my local Target for my birthday alongside the Time Out with Britney Spears VHS and I used my birthday money to buy vol 2 from my local HMV.

It's An S Club Thing (VHS): I remember getting this from my local HMV just after Christmas one year then going over to my grandparents house to watch it on their VCR as we were going there and I was to impatient to wait to get home.

I'll go and add more to this later.

What are some of your memories?

Bring It All Back , bought with Beautiful Stranger by Madonna

S Club Album - Recieved for Christmas

7 - Album

Sunshine - Album

You - wanted single version

Didnt buy Seeing Double

BEST

Not buying Seeing Double is a hate crime! :o

I remember my parents bought all of the albums for me at some point or another, including Sunshine as a Christmas present (my first ever CD!). Have You Ever was my first ever CD single and I think I got that in the Woolworths bargain bin or something. Alive was the first single release I remember and I probably used my pocket money on both that and Say Goodbye's formats (I think I bought both CD1 and CD2 at the time).

I've filled the rest in over the years via charity shops and online sellers, completing the collection in maybe 2015 or so (stab in the dark as to when it was) when I asked my parents for the last few CDs I needed for my birthday

I ordered Best 2015 online and I think I picked Essential S Club up in an HMV in person.

7 (album) - I remember seeing this at my local HMV and Sanity stores and being really disappointed it left off the final two tracks on the UK version. (Stand By You & Spiritual Love). So I decided that if I could find an import of the UK version at the city HMV then I'd get it even if it was an extra $5-$10. Luckily I did see it there and as it was around November/December I ended up getting it for Christmas.

Reach (single) - I remember collecting this one from my local Target store on a Friday night and discover the b-side that would then be an album track, I'll Be There.

Natural (single) - This one didn't get a release in Australia until November 2001. I remember seeing it at my local HMV and pinking it up with money I got as a Christmas present.

No VHS's/DVD's or anything special with this era, but I do recall being obsessed with LA 7, I remember liking it more than Miami 7. I'd record it every Saturday at 12pm when it would air. Favourite performance on the show was Stand By You (I'd replay it so many time until I got the album). Favourite memory from an episode was the one where Paul went out with Joni and she gave him the nickname Horn Doggy. My sister would find that hilarious and start calling me that for a while.

I'm sure I got the 'S Club' CD for Christmas 1999. It was my very first S Club 7 CD, because I didn't get any of the first three singles *gasp* (not until some years later when I decided to start a collection). I got their first VHS too. 11 year old me was very happy!

I got '7', the original release, from Woolworths. Woolworths used to give away free gifts with releases. I'm not sure if one of them was via the Reach single, but I remember getting a large poster and some stickers... both of which got lost years ago, no idea what happened to them! I wish I still had it. Maybe it's lurking in a box in the attic and I'll come across it sometime.

I remember getting the Miami 7 VHS Boxset for Christmas 2000, alongside my very first TV and VHS player for my bedroom (prior to then I just used the living room tv/player). I was over the moon to have my own!

'Sunshine' - even though albums released late in the year usually went on my Christmas list and I'd have to patiently wait, I got this one earlier. I remember bringing it into school so that my friends could copy it. Honestly I'm surprised I was so trusting of them! I treat my purchases like prized possessions these days!

Those are my strongest memories really. From Reach onwards I actually bought every CD single. I'm not sure why I didn't in the S Club era, maybe it was a case of being younger / less pocket money.

Thought I’d finish off my recollections.

Sunshine (album) - I can vividly remember buying this on December 28, 2001 and not playing it for quite a few weeks. I remember getting home from the local shopping centre I’d purchased this, So Fresh Summer 2002 (our version of the Now Series), Steps - Gold Greatest Hits and No Doubt Hey Baby (single). Then going on the internet to see the news that Steps had broken up and I was heart broken. I don’t recall listening to anything other than Steps by choice for at least a week.

Never Had A Dream Come True (Single) - After yet another disappointment of this not being released here I had to resort to asking for the import of it for Christmas, thankfully my parents obliged. I remember really loving Perfect Christmas at the time. That was my go to Christmas song, it was very prominent as I’d graduated from primary school a few weeks prior.

Don’t Stop Movin (single) - I remember buying this and Jessica Simpson’s single Irresponsible in the city HMV whilst on school holidays, I remember one day later see a few copies of cd2 but didn’t end up purchasing that one.

Have You Ever (single) - I purchased this one from my local Target on a Friday (Friday night shopping was a weekly occurrence growing up. I was just so happy this got released here after Never Had A Dream Come True didn’t.

You (single - I remember my my coming home from work one day with this and Shakira’s single Underneath Your Clothes.

Best (album & DVD) - I saw both of these in my local Target in early 2004 and decided that I needed them both, well at least the DVD, after all I was obsessed with the Steps Gold DVD.

Seeing Double (album) - I’ve only ever seen this in the shops once and I’m glad that I got it when I did. It was early 2005 and whilst my mum and sister were doing school stationary shopping I decided to head across the road to the music shop where I saw this, it was more expensive then I’d have liked but I was working by this stage, so I could justify it. Haha.

Seeing Double (movie) - I was at my local video rental store in 2006 and found this in the sale bargain bin for $4, I didn’t even know there was a movie as my interest in S Club dropped off after the Sunshine era.
