I am glad my Taylor tickets are in August , lucky for me the girls aloud date also miss my cricket date lol. Party weekend for you :cheer: . Are you close to the Taylor venue? I am having to travel 125 miles as Taylor missed the Midlands. I normally go to 3 or 4 Girls Aloud dates but it clashes with cricket season so I will just stick to the Birmingham date.

That was a great interview.

 

I find the no new music choice interesting, as you could argue the same thing applies to them as a stage show, Sarah was deffo part of the DNA there, far more than others (Kimberley cough cough)

I think it's because the tour, even though 4 of them are performing, it will still involve Sarah in a way - no doubt lots of screen visuals with her, her vocals will be used, the girls will speak about her - basically a celebration of the group, inclusive of her. Whereas new music, just as a 4, would be a step away from Sarah. I do wonder if they might change their mind eventually, but time will tell!

 

By the way, today's date marks 21 years since Girls Aloud were formed, right before our eyes on Popstars: The Rivals :wub:

I think it is a good move to do this tour with no new music. Honour Sarah and give the fans something great after an awful couple of years.

 

After this tour fair enough but I think they need to celebrate the band they were first before moving onto anything new.

See the Day definitely wasn’t a strong one.

 

They should’ve released Whole Lotta History instead of it and then Watch Me Go or Models as single 4.

Its good that they are celebrating the band and maybe they will see how they feel once these shows are complete, it could lead to them deciding to stay together or they may just feel that this is enough.

With all the tours on sale this week and selling so well and Ten showing at 53 in the mids im hoping the album stays top 75 tomorrow, its always nice to see their name show up in the charts.

Ten re enters the chary this week at 68 bring its total sales just shy of 340,000.

Oh wow ! That's hardcore. I live in north London so can get to both venues easily enough. I'm lucky with that :) Glad you managed to find a date away from the cricket :)

'Whole Lotta History' as the Christmas single and 'Models' in March would have been perfect. I love 'Watch Me Go' but I'm not absolutely convinced it would have worked well as a single.

Whole lotta history and see the day are 2 songs I rarely revisit.

Disappointed there's no new music. They're soin a Spice Girls instesd of a Take That - touring, no new music. Sara even said she'd hoped they'd do something without her. Hopefullt it will come in time.
