Have seen nothing but negativity about that new Lil Uzi Vert album (and unlike their last couple of albums they didn't hype it up for months with several missed release dates, so it has the feeling of being weirdly rushed and devoid of hype) and it's made almost no impact on Spotify, can't see it charting particularly highly.

 

Assuming it should be a pretty easy #1 for The Cure, would surprisingly only be their second #1 ever after 'Wish' in 1992!

Mental they’ve only had one no1 album! So many great eras from them.

 

Their biggest peaking single was also ‘Lullaby’ in 1989 which peaked at 5! Jaysus!

The Cure were never big album sellers, like all indie artists, mostly 1 week low top 10 albums,

the GP was never on board. Disintegration was their first top 3, Wish their only #1 and after that they went back to having low-charting albums...

Fingers crossed Kendrick can get the #1 this time after stalling at #2 with his last two albums. I assume it's digital only for now, so a matter of whether any of the other releases of the week are going to be shifting 20k physicals or whatever will be needed. Michael Kiwanuka might do? His last album opened with 15.1k (and that was an improvement on the album before that opening with 11.6k even though that was enough for #1 while the last album was #2).
