February 4, 20241 yr Was the Wet Leg debut released at the height of their hype (at the start of the year between Sound of and The Brits? It was released in April, but Wet Leg didn’t win Sound Of or the Brits’ Rising Star award. They weren’t even nominated for the latter!
February 4, 20241 yr It’s only 1 place behind :P Doesn’t surprise me too much though, it’ll have a more general audience than one which focuses on a specific year.
February 4, 20241 yr It’s only 1 place behind :P Doesn’t surprise me too much though, it’ll have a more general audience than one which focuses on a specific year. But you’d think a yearbook would outsell a compilation of the same old same old recycled songs
February 4, 20241 yr But you’d think a yearbook would outsell a compilation of the same old same old recycled songs Not really, knowing the general public’s boring tastes!
February 4, 20241 yr Author It was released in April, but Wet Leg didn’t win Sound Of or the Brits’ Rising Star award. They weren’t even nominated for the latter! Ah sorry thanks for the clarification, just thought it was a good comparison. Sometimes find these bands don’t release at the best times to get maximum sales!

February 9, 20241 yr Ushers album was selling for just £3.99 on iTunes and he has Super Bowl as promo should be looking at a good debut id say. I do think Noah might manage to get a #1 with the new edition of his album plus he has tour impact with UK shows doesn’t he?
February 9, 20241 yr Author When did Usher last release a new album and what did it sell? Hope Declan Mc Kenna gets the no1 even if his new material isn’t great, will give it a listen at least!
February 9, 20241 yr When did Usher last release a new album and what did it sell? Hard II Love in 2016, opened with 4,722 (#7)
February 9, 20241 yr Author Jaysus pretty awful for such a huge star but guess he never sold albums as much and he’s not as relevant in the 10s!
