That whole area of the Ardennes is beautiful and the great thing is that much of the old circuit is still intact and can be driven on including the legendary Masta Kink - the one Jackie Stewart called 'the most dangerous corner in the world'.

Fancy the 15K run?

Yeah I saw there is a half there! Saying to myself I am going to do it in March 2026!

Well, today's surely the best final lap for a while.

Shaking my head at Hamilton winning driver of the day despite being out thought, out raced and out played in every way by his teammate today.

And he did not look happy afterwards

"George Russell, the first driver other than Max Verstappen to win multiple race in a season since April last year".

So... eh. That's not much of a stat is it

What a move from Russell/Mercedes to win from nowhere

We already had 7 different drivers winning races this season. Last time we had that much winners was in 2012 (8). So 12 years ago...

What a great race to go into the summer break! It's going to be a long four weeks.

They open driver of the day poll like 10 laps before the end when it looked like Hamilton would win. It wasn't until the final lap that I imagine most people actually believed George would hold on so it was too late by that point to swing the vote. Also Hamilton pitted to cover Leclerc and it didn't look possible for anyone to manage a one stop strategy at that point so not out thought, but certainly out raced.

But that was amazing and impressive drive from George to not only nurse the tyres but not put a foot wrong when both Lewis and Oscar were bearing down on him.

Also I read that it's the first season since the 1950s where 4 different teams have scored a 1-2 in the same year.

Confirmed DSQ. I think that makes George Russell the first winner to be disqualified from a Grand Prix since Michael Schumacher in Spa 1994.

Yeah I know why it happened. It's just ridiculous how many viewers/voters did not understand what they were watching unfold

No longer the best final lap, unforch.

Well that's a shitter :/ but may explain why he had such surprising pace at the end. Another sloppy error from Merc then after Hamiltons DSQ in Texas last year. Happy for Lewis though!

I was wondering this exact thing myself actually and can't think of another more recent example.

The one stop definitely looked possible, if remote, given the numbers Sainz was posting in his first stint
