The Jannik situation made for a funny headline that I saw on a newspaper yesterday, "he's no sinner" :D

The draw for the US Open has been done, Jack Draper eyeing up Carlos Alcaraz as a potential 3rd round match-up. Emma Raducanu starts off against Sofia Kenin, with the winner likely to face Jessica Pegula, so tough draws for the Brits, though they've beaten those possible opponents in the past couple of months so could be good battles.

US Open starts today!!!!
The longest match ever at the US Open was just won by Dan Evans! He was trailing 0-4 in the deciding set, had breaks points against him in the fifth game, but managed to reel off six games in a row to take it 6-4.

^ I got home at the exact point he turned things around in the decider, incredible comeback

Emma Raducanu meanwhile is still yet to win a match at the US Open since winning the entire thing :(

Oh my Raducanu out :/ also Tsitsipas!
Hopefully Dan Evans can build some momentum (or the likely outcome is he goes out next round). Good to see Dart, Boulter, Draper and Evans make round 2 though
Sinner wasn't playing particularly well yesterday, guess nerves maybe

Oh wow

Jack Draper wins to set up a rematch with Alcaraz, who then promptly loses in straight sets to an unseeded player!

He always has a stinker in him from time to time does Carlos. Huge opportunity for Djok to win #25 now.
I’m happy for Novak to get that, purely so he doesn’t share the record anymore with Court…..
If Novak wins he has to retire surely. Olympic Gold, record grand slams, all at an incredible age. He will be indisputably the greatest. I hope he does it’d be the perfect end for him. Surprised at Carlos he must have concentration issues because at his best he’s unbeatable
Why though? He'll want to win more slams to set an even harder target for future generations, that's the why he's programmed. He'll only stop when starts going out in round 1 of slams imo...

Look at how Rafa and roger and Andy Murray went out, just kind of fizzled out or nobody even knew if they were retired or not. Retiring on top would be huge and a perfect end. Why wait until you’re being beaten by scrubs or getting too many injuries. He will know I guess he knows his body but the end is not far away it’s hard to be on top at 40 so why not after achieving it all and ending in a grand slam win? This year with the extra olympics probably took a lot more out of him too.
