a relatively decent first season at a new outfit, probably got the measure of his team mate on balance
I'd give Pierre the edge over Esteban since he equalled him without any prevous experince with the team

same as Ocon for me

brilliant at times, rather ordinary at others. racecraft is there but lacks a bit of ultimate pace
Notably the only non Red Bull winner this year and when he's on it he's great, but that isn't often enough

pretty level overall between teammates

considering his rookie status he pulled off a very impressive debut season, still a large gap to his team mate in the standings though
Brilliant debut season and a thoroughly likeable chap

good first season. Can’t rate any higher as he was beaten (somewhat comfortably) over the season by Norris
Yeah will be intriguing to see if he can close the gap to Lando

LEWIS HAMILTON

a mere few blotches on an otherwise extremely impressive season, extracting the most out of the w14
Finished 3rd in the title more by virtue of the failures of others than anything brilliant from him. The raw speed is gone, the consistency is going and perhaps the motivation too, but there's no denying the innate talent is there when he hooks it all up..

grew stronger as the season progressed

ALEXANDER ALBON

dragged the williams into places it seldom deserved and looks a very well rounded racer now
Showed what we always knew - he's a very capable driver. If only he could stick to track limits

simply remarkable

pace is never a concern but the odd mistake keeps cropping up. however has also been very unlucky
Reliably fast and often exciting but still overdrives the car too often and as ever, result were hampered by Ferrari

had flashes of greatness this year

an absolute monster once mclaren brought the upgrades. first win surely coming soon
Still think he's a dick but starting to think he's finally delivering on the hype. If the McLaren had started the year with those upgrades...

the fact he hasn’t won a race is a travesty

Who's giving Albon a 10?

Leclerc too high as well, disapoointig season by his standards.

It was Herbs who gave Albon a 10.

Yeah bring it!!!

I wasn't implying that there wasn't anything wrong with giving Albon a 10, he pushed that Williams beyond its capability.

classic alonso squeezing every last drop out of the machinery, made the absolute most of when aston had the second best car
Still fast enough that time hasn't yet caught up with him. If the AM upgrades had actually have improved the car it could have been a glorious year.

epic how well he did this year. Always out-performs the car

Shame Aston Martin bottlejobbed the only genuine chance of a race win in Monaco last year...

I can see them falling back to midfield this season and fighting the Alpines, they had their moment.

Yeah it really was a shame fernando couldn’t get a win in 2023. Here’s to a (lucky) 2024 win!

has raised the bar of excellence even higher, as close to a perfect season as you could ever see
As close to a perfect season as I've ever seen. So far above the rest right now that it's ridiculous

flawless

Many thanks to you all for contributing to the rate. The F1 Team Battles Prediction Game will definitely return this year. I look forward to discussing the upcoming F1 season with you all.

Cheers, :)
