True, but technically, Betty La Fea came before Devil Wears Prada.

That's what I was going to say but then I saw this post. Obviously, YSBLF will never be beaten in quality or originality by these imitations, the worst one being the Mexican version (for obvious reasons). Bloody awful and boring. Nevertheless, Ugly is really good and funny.

yeah, same here

the first episode was very very similar to the devil wears prada... hmm, hopefully it will get better as the series progresses :D

The Next Episode of this is shown Early on Wednesday, on E4

If Anyone's Interested!

I Love This! Betty is an inspiration

I quite enjoyed it actually, I think the little kid (is it her brother? ) that was so blatantly gay and telling her about the latest fashions etc was HILARIOUS.
Watching it now on E4. Thought it might be good as it's starting in the exact same slot My Name is Earl started in last year. Nowhere near as good though.
Good stuff. Was out on friday but have just caught the repeat on C4.
i lyked it a lot, however it weren't as good as I expected, but its a gd show. Can't wait 4 the nxt episode
i liked it, the main girl who plays betty is so likeable its worth watching just for her, she is not ugly in fact its a play on words she is the one with the beautiful soul and some the other "beautiful people" working in mode are the actual ugly ones with their shallow souls
I watched this, it was really good! I felt sorry for her when she had to do the photoshoot and everyone was laughing at her!
its c**p..... i mean... all that bint needs is a decent make-over! sticking braces on what are obviously perfect teeth just doesnt make a girl 'ugly'.... can you imagine now how many teenage girls are being stigmatised by this?...
Yeah, but you know in the end it's all gonna come good for her and she'll get success ...

yeah, true, it'll all work out and she'll get the guy all the pretty girls are after etc etc

yep... predictable american schmaltz... :puke2:

It won 2 Golden Globes, surprisingly, beating Housewives, which should have won:

Best Actress in a Comedy Series (which there is no contest between Felicity Huffman and America Ferrera, Felicity just beats her, which the Academy apparently disagreed on, for some reason)

and Best TV Comedy
