Posted January 12, 20241 yr Hi! So I heard this on tiktok the other day… now I’m half Slovakian and so 10 years ago when I went home for summer I remember constantly hearing this song, and being obsessed with it! I downloaded this version (torrie banks- don’t think I could forgive you) as that’s the one the radio announced and had listed as last played on their app. Also for context I was 8 at the time so not too familiar with music and charts and stuff lol. Then then recently I heard prayer in c and it’s the same song? They sound almost identical and I’m just curious which is the original and if so why was one the song they played in Slovakia and the other (prayer in c) that became a hit here? And why is it not copyrighted if it’s the same thing? How are both allowed to be up and why wasn’t it mentioned elsewhere? Sorry if it’s not the sort of discussion for this forum and if not ofc delete it but I thought I’d ask as its been bugging me lol

January 12, 20241 yr Well there's no issue with both versions of the track existing in 2014. Spotify certainly suggests Torrie Banks' version came after Robin Schulz's remix considering its December 2014 release date. It's effectively just a cover track with a different title, it's been done before no? Don't think there's a copyright issue here
