Kid Cudi released his 9th studio album last week to a largely muted reception. I've give it a couple of listens and it's a pretty mixed bag. The only bad track is 'ELECTROWAVEBABY'. It samples 'All That She Wants' pretty poorly. The album has no business being over one-hour long though. It drags on but there's some good moments.

 

My highlights are WOW, SEVEN, TORTURED, TOO DAMN HIGH, RAGER BOYZ and MR COOLA. They would make a brilliant EP.

 

 

I quite like 'GET OFF ME' but the other Travis Scott collaboration is the literal definition of mid imo. Agreed that 'ELECTROWAVEBABY' is absolute garbage :lol: Will have to give the other album tracks a listen!

Well this is one of the Kid Cudi albums of all time :kink:

 

I only saved 6 songs from it but that did include a pretty good run of 3 in a row right near the end ('SEVEN'/'FUNKY WIZARD SMOKE'/'RAGER BOYZ', was almost 4 in a row as 'BLUE SKY' was good too and sounds like a grower) so that at least made the listen feel a bit more worth it. The first 2/3 was very mid, 'KEEP BOUNCIN'' and 'A TALE OF A KNIGHT' were the other two songs I saved. 'AT THE PARTY' legitimately probably the worst song on the album for me, how and why was that a single xx
