Some final songs to mention from me from the second half of 2002;

Solarstone – Seven Cities [Peaked at #39 in 1999; #44 in September 2002 thanks to a remix by Armin van Buuren]

Athlete – Beautiful [Peaked at #41 in November 2002]

Gigi D'Agostino – Bla Bla Bla [Peaked at #87 in November 2002]

Bla Bla Bla was initially penciled in for a release circa autumn 2000, and even appeared on a compilation - Fresh Hits, Vol.2. I don’t know why it subsequently was cancelled then released finally with basically no promotion two years later.

Shiny Disco Balls was a big hit that went top 20, peaking at #15 and making it on Now 53 - it charted at #69 just on import sales before properly being released the following week.

Ah yes thanks Billy, I wish the OCC kept such chart records together but I should have consulted Polyhex on this occasion.

Enya deserves better.

She did indeed, from such an iconic movie too.

Discussing with Scene in another thread I learnt that this Destiny’s Child single didn’t chart anywhere in the UK in 2002 for some reason;

Destiny’s Child – Nasty Girl

Was it not pushed properly over here? It did get included strangely on the compilation Hits 53.

I don’t think Nasty Girl ever got a UK release. Shame really as it’s one of my favourites from the album. :wub:
