BJSC 162 entry: KAWALA - American Adrenaline

 

 

For my opening entry to my first BJSC I decided to go for this fun indie bop by the band KAWALA! They were the support band for a gig I went to recently and honestly they were fantastic, I absolutely loved them. This is their newest single which they performed on stage and it was great live. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Unfortunately our debut entry in the BJSC didn’t qualify and finished last in our semi final. It was tough as semi final 2 was full of fantastic entries! Thank you to the nations who threw some points our way! We will be back in the next contest with another entry which I hope can so slightly better!

BJSC 163 entry: Meg McHugh - Brace Yourself

 

For this edition I’ve went for Scottish Capital FM DJ Meg McHugh’s debut single Brace Yourself. I’ve followed Meg for a while, with her hosting the late ‘Hits Chilled’ show on my local radio over the years before recently getting a job at Capital. She is mainly over on capital dance but as recently as this week she is stepping in on the main capital FM while someone is off. She released this single last month and I have to say it’s a banger :w00t: it’s all about the production here!

 

This is a banger indeed! It better qualify.

My return and first contest I’ve entered in over a year comes from Just For Fun with Catch Me If You Can. This group performed at a music festival I attended in Glasgow a few weeks ago and honestly I thought they were superb live. This song was the standout for me, some very infectious dance/pop!

Dayglow - Close To You

For this contest I’ve went with indie-pop song Close To You by Dayglow, which I discovered through a friend who showed me their music and I really do enjoy the upbeat groovy style of their music. I’m honestly not sure how well this entry will do but fingers crossed for a qualifier after missing out last contest!

Hope you can do well with this, the song was a Top 10 finisher for me in an Unknown Pleasures contest here on BuzzJack a few years ago if that is anything to go by which I mentioned in the semis thread! 😄

Was over the moon to qualify for the first time in a while with my entry and not too disappointed with my finals position, it actually got a lot more points than I expected it to (and some high ones!) thank you for everyone that voted for it and I’m glad it got some support.
