August 11, 2024Aug 11 2 weeks at #1 for Now 118, not to be sniffed at (though I'm sure someone will find fault with it) It could get a third week if sales for Now Yearbook Extra 1993 aren’t strong enough to knock it off. If it does get knocked off #1 on Friday, then I hope that Now Yearbook Extra 1993 is the one to knock it off
August 14, 2024Aug 14 Author I know I know... it's waaaaaay too early to discuss the next release, but I just love making predictions, and when I see all the songs together in two discs, it feels complete and satisfying to look at, as well as listen along to! So without further ado, here's a very early suggestion for the next volume, Now 119, to be released late Autumn most likely, based upon recent releases; Disc 1 1. Charli xcx feat. Billie Eilish – Guess 2. Chappell Roan – HOT TO GO! 3. Sabrina Carpenter – Please Please Please 4. Coldplay – feelslikeimfallinginlove 5. Sonny Fodera, Jazzy & D.O.D – Somedays 6. Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding – Free 7. BL3SS & CamrinWatsin feat. bbyclose – Kisses 8. JADE – Angel Of My Dreams 9. Billie Eilish – BIRDS OF A FEATHER 10. Ariana Grande – the boy is mine 11. Jordan Adetunji – KEHLANI 12. The Kid LAROI – NIGHTS LIKE THIS 13. Quavo feat. Lana Del Rey – Tough 14. Ice Spice & Central Cee – Did It First 15. Gracie Abrams – Close To You 16. Halsey – Lucky 17. Perrie – Tears 18. Kesha – JOYRIDE 19. Katy Perry – WOMAN'S WORLD 20. Kylie Minogue, Bebe Rexha & Tove Lo – My Oh My 21. Majestic, The Jammin Kid & Céline Dion – Set My Heart On Fire 22. Jessie Ware & Romy – Lift You Up 23. Nathan Dawe feat. MNEK – Ten 24. Jax Jones, Joel Corry & Jason Derulo – Tonight (D.I.Y.A.) 25. Ella Henderson, Switch Disco & Alok – Under The Sun 26. August 14, 2024Aug 14 I’d love for Bruce Springsteen - Dancing In The Dark to make an appearance as it has been lingering around the top 40 for a few weeks now and never appeared on the numbered series before and with him now licensing his songs. I’d also love for Alphaville - Forever Young to finally enter the top 40 so it can hopefully gain an appearance as they do like adding old songs lately. I just hope that they announce Now Millennium 2008-2009 tomorrow as we’re due that next month Edited August 14, 2024Aug 14 by Hadji
August 14, 2024Aug 14 Hope now yearbook vault announcement been ages since 1983 came out Hope we get Vault 1984 as well. I hope they include some hits which missed the main yearbooks and I hope that Sunglasses At Night, Forever Young and Dancing In The Dark get included

A NOW featuring Charli XCX (x2), Kesha, Katy Perry, JADE, Sabrina Carptenter, and Chappel Roan? That's Gay Rights! I hope they all make it!
August 17, 2024Aug 17 Author A NOW featuring Charli XCX (x2), Kesha, Katy Perry, JADE, Sabrina Carptenter, and Chappel Roan? That's Gay Rights! I hope they all make it! There's surely a place for Lady Gaga now too. :P
August 18, 2024Aug 18 I just hope that Backbone makes Now 119 seeing as Baddadan was ignored from Now 116
August 18, 2024Aug 18 Author I just hope that they announce Now Millennium 2008-2009 tomorrow as we’re due that next month Hope now yearbook vault announcement been ages since 1983 came out So it seems we got neither announcement this week. It does feel like they are due to announce something soon given the turn around time they themselves have set for new releases. Again, as said a few posts ago, I really do believe we are at the beginning of the end of this series. They can't have much capital left to keep producing physical products nationwide with such a limited artist catalogue to select from, let alone from only one or two decades hoping that past collectors will help to prop them up. Somewhere someone is deliberating a new angle to release another 80's compilation with hits to a specific theme hoping it will make some profit.
August 19, 2024Aug 19 Speaking of Nows, I saw a budget compilation titled Loaded which is released next month and it has Life Of Riley, Pretend We're Dead, There She Goes and This Is How It Feels on there and shame they weren’t included on any of their respective yearbooks
August 19, 2024Aug 19 There's surely a place for Lady Gaga now too. :P Ooh! I didn't even think of that. Hopefully it's the lead single from LG7 and not this snooze fest of a song with Bruno Mars.
August 19, 2024Aug 19 What would you change about the Now series of you were in charge? I’ll start Scrap pointless spin-offs such as Now 80s Dancefloor vinyl series and focus just on the yearbooks, millennium series, 12" 80s series, vaults and numbered series. Numbered Nows will have set release dates of every first Friday in March, July and November. Only release random spin-offs which have never been used and use more songs which have never been used instead of the same old same old

August 20, 2024Aug 20 What's the motivation behind having fixed release dates for the numbered series? Because it’s the exact same period of time in between 2 numbered Nows so that you get one every 4 months instead of the release date being shuffled all over the place especially with the spring Nows. Nothing wrong with it. It’s better than waiting 5 months for the next numbered Now as that’s what will most likely happen after the release of Now 119 because Now 120 will be released next year on 25th April as they're now releasing the spring Nows after Easter. It would be exactly 4 months in between; March to July, 4 months, July to November, 4 months and November to March, 4 months Edited August 20, 2024Aug 20 by Hadji
August 21, 2024Aug 21 Now Millennium 2008-2009 due for release on 27th September. I hope they continue these editions into the 2010s https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DDBBPNT5

So if one was released in the first week of March it would quite likely be a bit crap, with any very early year hits they could get hold of, considering the tracklist is usually announced about a month before. So it would be basically just hits of January, and a few stragglers that missed the winter release. Obviously it would make the summer release fantastic, but then it usually is quite strong anyway as many big hits are released in Q1 and Q2 these days. The spring one is often the one that needs bulking out so to lose 4-6 weeks of hits would be awful for it. Edited August 21, 2024Aug 21 by gooddelta

August 21, 2024Aug 21 Author Now Millennium 2008-2009 due for release on 27th September. I hope they continue these editions into the 2010s https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DDBBPNT5 Nice to see a fair few songs that missed the main series feature from the likes of Paloma, Britney, Ciara, Radiohead, Oasis and Leona Lewis to mention a few.
August 21, 2024Aug 21 Even with the Christmas songs clogging up the charts, you can still determine the songs chart position what it would be without the Christmas songs But most artists simply don't release new product in late November and all of December anymore, so you basically lose six weeks of quality product to choose from. It's so clogged up with Christmas that you have to go outside the top 75 to find these songs sometimes in December, and then Now fans will just moan about a load of flops on the album, as they always do.
