January 7, 200718 yr I always aim to buy 20/25 new studio albums a year to keep me "down with the kids" I'm looking forward to: Arcade Fire Radiohead Kaiser Chiefs Duran Duran Pixies Rufus Wainwright Arctic Monkeys Stereophonics Kylie U2 Coldplay Travis KT Tunstall Norah Jones REM The Good The Bad & The Queen Manic Street Preachers Andrea Corr ....... and no doubt a few new acts will come along to make me part with my cash.
January 7, 200718 yr But will she release it this year? She usually takes ages between her albums, and her last one was just 1 year ago... Nah she's definately releasing this year, she's confirmed in numerous interviews. :D It'll be a Christmas one.
January 7, 200718 yr Leona Lewis! I want to see what she can do... That's true...I'll be interested to see what she comes out with - whether it'll be ballad after ballad or actually some decent tunes.
January 7, 200718 yr Editors, of course! :P Kaiser Chiefs, Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys as well :). xXx
January 7, 200718 yr Especially Kylie but also Madonna, Natasha Bedingfield, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson and Pussycat Dolls
January 7, 200718 yr Andrea Corr, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Carlton, Feeder, Sophie Ellis Bextor Edited January 7, 200718 yr by Sean
January 7, 200718 yr Avril Lavigne is all I am bothered about this year. I also hear Lostprophets are releasing a new album in the autumn - have to wait and see if that's true. Looking forward to Kelly Clarkson, Natasha Bedingfield, Linkin Park, Kylie Minogue [for some reason]. Also really like the sound of Mika, and Leona's might be good - depends tbh - it's due out in March apparently - seems WAY too soon - even sooner than Shayne's. And i never pass true judgement on these reality winners until they release their first proper single. I just see the winner's single as another desperate cashin with some middle of the road c**p. Also be interesting to see what Vanessa Carlton's new sound will be like
January 7, 200718 yr maybe Mariah :D You know where it's at David. :funky: The only one I´m looking forward is Dido. I can´t see much reason to await for albums of artists like Mariah, Pussycat Dolls, Britney, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, since these artists are more like frontfacers for their producers projects. I want to look forward to an artists who can bring something exclusive, not another version of "since u been gone" or "yeah!". Something exclusive? I.e something new? Different? I'm not going to get into this with you because i've seen you argue for like 20 pages and quite frankly I can't be arsed, but the only point I will make is that you say they never come up with anything new when both of Dido's albums are practically inseparable?
January 7, 200718 yr Dido is bland central. I can't believe I actually got excited about the release of 'Life For Rent' and parted with my cash for it. AWFUL album - but yet sells over 4 million or whatever it sold.
January 7, 200718 yr I think it depends on peoples [personal tastes. Personally I can tell a big difference between No Angel & Life For Rent, and I think this upcoming album will be really great!
January 7, 200718 yr 'Life For Rent' and parted with my cash for it. AWFUL album SO true, one of the worst albums i own :I
January 7, 200718 yr The ones im most looking forward to are: Jyrongi's debut album Utada Hikaru's new album Ayumi Hamasaki's 2 sets of greatest hits Otsuka Ai's comeback Nakanomori BAND if they release a new album Gackts new solo project I've just watched a video called Passion by Utada Hikaru and I thought both the song and the video were great.
January 7, 200718 yr They had this topic on DigitalSpy and I read that Beyonce and JT are releasing albums... ha :P Anyway, I'm looking forward to Mariah (obv), Norah Jones, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Girls Aloud, Britney and PCD.
January 7, 200718 yr Delta Goodrem Kylie Minogue Dannii Minogue - if she releases Darren Hayes Lucie Silvas Girls Aloud Sugababes Shannon Noll PCD Lisa Scott-Lee Britney Spears Take That - if another one is released I'll probably think of more later
