Posted March 14, 20241 yr Meg is back! New single 'Been Like This' with none other than T-Pain is out today, while her sixth album 'Timeless' is out on June 14th. q52GnyHuMLw
March 23, 20241 yr Author The single debuted at #60 this week, T-Pain's first since 'Jerry Sprunger' reached #32 in 2019. Although I had know idea that existed until now.
March 27, 20241 yr Been Like This reminds me of Bang Bang by will.i.am. Maybe it's the same 1920s style sample. Catchy but not my thing, as usual with Meghan.
April 2, 20241 yr Again, not a BAD SONG, but isn't she tired of just releasing... the same song over and over again? Another song of hers which feels entirely designed for TikTok, refers to her "bass", has that same woo dop sound. It's catchy again, so I'll give her that, but everything has felt so calculated from Made You Look onwards that it's almost sterile and unappealing. Looks like it'll bag her another top 40 though, so I guess it works for her and if it ain't broke, then why fix it? Meh all the same.
April 3, 20241 yr Tbf she did try to deviate away from this sound with Thank You and Treat Myself but nobody was hear for it. I think it’s quite impressive that she’s managed to claw her way back into public consciousness!
April 7, 20241 yr Tbf she did try to deviate away from this sound with Thank You and Treat Myself but nobody was hear for it. I think it’s quite impressive that she’s managed to claw her way back into public consciousness! Good point! The woman can't win, she released some excellent pop songs with a different sound that got ignored, 'Made You Look' brought people back to her, so of course she's going to hone in on it, you'd be a fool not to. I'd love her to do some more Dance collabs, 'With You' with Kaskade was immaculate.
April 10, 20241 yr Been Like This reminds me of Bang Bang by will.i.am. Maybe it's the same 1920s style sample. Catchy but not my thing, as usual with Meghan. Bang Bang immediately came to my mind too, although that itself was a rip-off of Sandro Silva - Epic
May 23, 20241 yr Author 'I Wanna Thank Me' feat. Niecy Nash is out tomorrow. Nash is apparently a US actress and TV host - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niecy_Nash
May 23, 20241 yr Niecy's an incredible actress. No idea why she's collaborating with Meghan Trainor
June 10, 20241 yr I quite liked 'Been Like This' in the end but the rest of this album is trash. Every songs seems to be about loving yourself, yes it's a great message but it gets boring after a while.
