Kylie cancels British show halfway through

Pop star Kylie Minogue, who is on a comeback tour after receiving treatment for breast cancer, pulled out of a British concert Saturday halfway through due to ill health, her spokesman said.

 

Minogue was performing in Manchester, north-west England, when she stopped and cancelled the rest of the show because of flu.

 

She was diagnosed with cancer in May 2005 and had to suspend the Showgirl tour in Australia but resumed performances in her homeland in November 2006.

 

The 38-year-old had surgery for breast cancer in Melbourne in May 2005, followed by a course of chemotherapy in France, where her boyfriend, actor Olivier Martinez, has a home.

 

"Kylie is suffering flu, as are other members of the tour group, including her manager. It is not linked to her breast cancer," a spokesman for the star said.

 

Minogue had launched the British leg of her tour with a New Year's Eve show in London characterised by a series of costume changes and lavish, sequinned and feathered outfits.

 

 

 

It feels odd to think that this time last week I was on my way hoem from Wembley . It is fantastic to get this on TV so soon after :dance:

It would have been nice if dannii had been on the tv concert also..but she isn't in Oz much to have joined her i guess

It was brilliant!

 

What I was impressed with the most is that C4 actually broadcast the WHOLE thing, and didn't cut any off. I love the way she engages in banter with the crowd and embraces them.

 

I hope that with the show being broadcast to such a wide audience, that it may win her a few new fans. :D

Amazing, I love the graphics and the costumes, and the whole dancing crew, the best section for me is the Confide In Me with an Asian theme to it
