Their new single 'This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race' – which can be heard streaming online now at www.falloutboyrock.com – is the first single from INFINITY ON HIGH, the long-awaited new album, which will be out on the February 5th. Rapper Jay-Z features on the albums opening track, 'Car Crash'. The new album reunites the group with Neal Avron, who produced, recorded and mixed Cork Tree. The new album also finds Fall Out Boy working with megastar hitmaking R&B producer Babyface for the first time. :o Edited January 8, 200718 yr by Dino
January 8, 200718 yr Author http://www.fall-out-fans.com/nav/fob.gif Billboard Review: This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race FALL OUT BOY Seemingly bored with emo, Fall Out Boy rediscovers the magic of late-'90s teen-pop, offering a shamelessly hook-filled, R&B-infused lead from its upcoming album, "Infinity On High" (due Feb. 6). An ironic but dazzling mix of boy-band antics and punk energy, "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" finds Patrick Stump crooning fake soul vocals over a Backstreet Boys' dance groove: "I'm the leading man/And the lies I weave are oh-so intricate," he then admits in the hard-hitting chorus, sugared with doo-wop harmonies. Despite its copy-and-paste feel, "This Ain't" is a powerful and catchy anthem, superbly produced and destined for top 40. —Sven Philipp Edited January 8, 200718 yr by Dino

January 21, 200718 yr this is going to be suicide for 2 reasons: 1) we hate being compared to fall out boy enough as it is without posting unashamed "self promotion" posts 2) fall out boy dont seem to have many fans here but at least for those of you that DO like them, and those that DONT maybe a more British and rough around the edges counterpart may attract you.....? hmm maybe. worth a shot. Check out : http://www.myspace.com/fastreaction http://www.fastreaction.co.uk Cheers!
