June 29, 20241 yr France v Ukraine Euro 2012 the last time I think a match was suspended due to the weather at an Euros. What happened?. Was it finished? Or replayed another day.

June 29, 20241 yr Who's this ref reviewer? How have they decided someone boring you about technicalities is in anyway useful.
June 29, 20241 yr And Germany take it 2-0 - they'll play either Spain or Georgia. Shame that'll be Clive Tyldesley's last ITV game
June 29, 20241 yr Hopefully that'll lead to a few discussions about appropriate use of VAR given there were at least two very microscopic decisions made there! Even if Germany would likely have won the game, it does feel very unfair to Denmark's chances.
June 29, 20241 yr Musiala is now joint top scorer with 3 goals and so far is probably player of the tournament

Even if Germany would likely have won the game, it does feel very unfair to Denmark's chances. This was completely appropriate use of VAR - the line has to be drawn somewhere and it's far better for it to be drawn by technology than any feelings of supposed fairness by referees that think one team was hard done by. The rules are the same for both teams.
June 30, 20241 yr I disagree, when the decisions are so marginal it’s a toe off I think it becomes ridiculous. Also think overall Denmark were the better side apart from the opening 20 mins. Germany seem to start well in games but if they can get an early goal struggle. Denmark, albeit I thought their era was slightly over after the last World Cup (will be after the defeat here though), we’re the better TEAM the east the played and don’t have maybe as many superstar players.

As I said before, the rules are the same for both teams - it's more ridiculous in old system where it was up to a ref's eyesight/gut feeling and plenty of illegal goals were counting or VAR drawing lines. Having the technology makes the game fairer for everyone and I'm glad to know it'll be coming to the premier league soon. We must have been watching different matches - Germany were by far the better team both in and out of position and deserved the win.

It’s not 100% full proof though that’s the thing, it’s when they freeze it for example and that effects the decision. I was watching the same game as you lol but just thought considering their respective players Denmark played better than I thought and were unlucky in some decisions.
