The second quarter-final sees a repeat of the Euro 2016 final between Portugal and France at the Volksparkstadion, Hamburg. For Portugal they needed a penalty shootout to beat Slovenia which was notable for a Ronaldo penalty miss and some tears from him, in the end it was their goalkeeper Diogo Costa who become the first goalie to make three saves in a penalty shootout at the Euros. For France they got through thanks to a Jan Vertonghen own goal in their match against Belgium which wasn't the most exciting game of the Euros.

Not very inspiring game this. Very little ambition from either team.

Why can't these teams just play good football, like Spain and Germany? Not like these teams are lacking in talent either.

What a chance there for Kolo Muani.
