July 17, 2024Jul 17 Author The teaser has been out for a while now, but we're getting closer to it's release date, so lets have a thread for this new slasher icon. I thought the first one was decent but I really thought they stepped it up with the 2nd one in the best way possible, bar the ridiculous final 20 mins or so where it got annoyingly convoluted and just over baked a bit HATE the supernatural element they added to it. But I think Art the Clown is genuinely really scary and I think this movie will solidify them as an all time great slasher movie icon (up with the Michael, Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, Ghostface, Chucky etc...) I am really excited for it!
July 18, 2024Jul 18 The full trailer is our supposedly out next weekend! So hyped, I haven't seen a trajectory for a horror franchise like this before. First film being completely independent to gaining a small fanbase, then the second going to US cinemas and amassing a huge buzz to the point where the third film has a worldwide cinema release, completely unprecedented and unheard of! I agree Art is genuinely terrifying and the first one (and parts of the second) are the only films to have genuinely scared me in recent years. Not so much the gore but just his character/presence. I think the second film was a tad too long and I'm not really here for a supernatural element but excited to see where it goes.
July 25, 2024Jul 25 It looks low budget :( was hoping it would improve a bit but I guess that's the magic of it? Idk Still excited, looks like its going down a more scary route this time as the last film wasn't that scary imo.
September 18, 2024Sep 18 Author Got my tickets booked for opening night. HYPE! Also got my tickets booked for a week on Friday to the double bill of 1 & 2 for the first time in UK cinemas!
October 10, 2024Oct 10 One of the only films to actually make me nearly be sick in recent times OMFG. Probably the best of the three though!
October 12, 2024Oct 12 Author My favourite of the 3. I think the protagonist is so likeable and although her niece is hella annoying, she is so easy to root for. The deaths are just as iconic as the previous two movies and Art is just incredible as a villain. His expressions and mannerisms are fantastic! David Howard-Thornton has got the character down to a tee. Just so much fun and I think there is plenty of scope for a couple more movies in this franchise.
October 12, 2024Oct 12 Another Christmas/Halloween horror film is always welcome, never seem to have enough of them x It's great to see a horror franchise gradually grow over the years through word of mouth, looking at some decent opening numbers. This was really fun, and was a lot less drawn out than the last film which was the one thing I wasn't so keen on about the last one though nothing quite matched that absolutely insane maiming of Allie and her mother, but the deaths were all still really fun, the rats crawling down her neck and chainsaw in the shower in particular, the story was a bit more engaging too and felt like it added a bit more lore, although it's still very much secondary to just seeing Art the Clown, his mannerisms are perfect. He's like an expressive version of Michael Myers, already a classic villain of modern horror.
October 14, 2024Oct 14 Author #1 Movie in the US beating 2nd week 'Joker 2'! It's already the highest grossing movie of the 'Terrifier' franchise (to nobody's surprise). It comes in at #3 in the UK, with over £1m which is impressive! A big success and I assume a 4th instalment will get more screens and showings of it.
October 14, 2024Oct 14 The real question is why is Transformers One at the top? It looks like garbage!
