April 18, 20196 yr Just saw on Twitter that Lucy Spaggan is over the moon at the ‘first time’ being playlisted by Radio 2 (although I’m 99.9% sure ‘Unsinkable’ was also playlisted :P).
April 18, 20196 yr Author The last Vampire Weekend song was only C listed wasn't it? Harmony Hall climbed to A List for one week at the end of March
April 18, 20196 yr Author Just saw on Twitter that Lucy Spaggan is over the moon at the ‘first time’ being playlisted by Radio 2 (although I’m 99.9% sure ‘Unsinkable’ was also playlisted :P). Unsinkable was indeed playlisted for 4 weeks on the C List in 2015

May 1, 20196 yr Surprised at the Taylor Swift add given its obvious target audience though I guess they’re trying to throw as much promo at it as possible! Edited May 1, 20196 yr by Burns
May 1, 20196 yr Author Radio 2 have consistently playlisted the singles from Taylor unless they are a little unsuitable genre wise (e.g. ...Ready For It?).
May 1, 20196 yr I don't think ME! will sound remotely out of place on Radio 2 tbh, it's got wider appeal than people are giving it credit for I'd say.
May 1, 20196 yr I personally find it totally out of place, the target audience of the song is kids age 7
May 1, 20196 yr It’s very remedial topic wise at least, that’s my only reasoning. Catchy though. Not sure I’m taking to it so much as it feels so perpendicular to the image she seemed to want to portray with Reputation.

Catchy though. Not sure I’m taking to it so much as it feels so perpendicular to the image she seemed to want to portray with Reputation. I think that's the point! The vengeful Taylor is over and now it's time to move on, this is the perfect contrast to the reputation era I think.
