Did Girls Aloud ever do much outside the UK?

Not very much at all.

"Jump" was top 10 single in Sweden (Run : 26-22-10-11-10-9-14-21-22-31-30) and Belgium (Run : 38-24-19-14-15-14-9-6-7-7-10-17-23-29-38), also peaked at # 11 in Netherlands with 15 weeks in top 40. "Sound Of The Underground" was # 10 in Dutch charts (Run : 39-21-12-10-14-19-23-26-32-37-38).

They actually performed better in Australia than I thought.

Sound of the Underground - #31

No Good Advice - #88

Jump - #23

The Show - #67

Chemistry - #26

It's a huge shame thry didnt have greater success outside the UK and Ireland, I always felt they should have been much bigger in Europe.
It was nice that Jump achieved some decent success in Europe. It just seems that there wasn’t much money or focus to give them a decent worldwide push. The 2006 promo in Australia was a little random and I half wonder if a major purpose for being there at all was to create an interesting episode for Off the Record?
Ya it's a while since it was that high, when sound of tge underground gets released the forum should be very active then for another while.
Great to see the forum being so busy recently, almost feels like old times
The rest of the world missed out on their brilliance and it's truly their loss.

They truly did, Girls Aloud deserved to be a worldwide force, then again I do think their lack of success outside the UK helped to keep them together for longer.

I agree with both your points and it also meant the UK got more promo etc, sometimes groups make the mistake of not giving their main market what they need and end up losing fans so least that didnt happen them in the UK. Quality of the music though deserved far greater international success as they have so many really strong singles.
18 years ago... I want to my first ever concert, which was Girls Aloud on the What Will the Neighbours Say? Tour at Hammersmith Apollo! :o

You beat me to it when it comes to attending concerts, I didn't get to go to one until I was 18 :drama: !! That was Sugababes in 2006, so sadly I missed the What Will the Neighbours Say tour

Do you remember much about it? *_*

I remember very little!! I know I had the time of my life though. Think I need to spend tomorrow watching the tour DVD to give myself a memory refresh

My next one wasn't until 2010 (X Factor live tour) - both of these were birthday/Christmas presents!
