September 27, 2024Sep 27 At least it got some points from other voters, I didn't expect too many as it's not that well known now but I liked it when it came out. I remember Channel 4 showing the premiere of that video late at night.
September 28, 2024Sep 28 It's definitely among their better singles from the '80s and one of the few from that period I actually have in my library and the video is very memorable too, but for they've done many that a much better.

September 29, 2024Sep 29 I love Mother's Little Helper. Shame it didn't make the top 20 but it's done pretty well for a non single. It was my wild card only because I knew no-one else would pick it and I assumed somebody absolutley HAD to nominate You Can't Always Get What You Want. Pretty sure the latter would have been somewhere round the top 10.

October 2, 2024Oct 2 Susan Boyle responsible for the popularity of Wild Horses there - I didnt know it until she covered it! The Last Time & 19th Nervous Breakdown too low there, both among top Stones singles for me. Disco stones being low no surprise, but it's a good record, even if Stones afficianados dismiss it. Undercover Of The Night was the last but one Rolling Stones attempt to be pop culture relevant with all the hype around the video - the song is minimal but the rhythm vibes are strong. Living In A Ghost Town is their final relevant moment, what with Covid and all, it was starkly historic - and moving.
October 2, 2024Oct 2 Wow did you really not know it before the Susan Boyle cover? :o My gut feel is that Susan Boyle's version won't have had too much impact on many buzzjack voters
