NUMBER 50 -- T.Rex - Dreamy Lady (1975)

After becoming evryones favourite band in late 1970, the fame had wore off, and by 1974, they were unfashionable. Embarrasing, even, to some poeple. But they were always there. You could always count on them to produce an album of catchy, 3 minuit glam rock. Only the bassist and marc were the origanal members of t rex by now, and times wre hard for marc. After moving to america, he put on weight. No longer a vegetarian, he lived on burgers and brandy. But he still managed a top 20 hit per year, 1975's being "New York City", this was the follow up single, tooken from the 1976 "Futuristc Dragon" album.

NUMBER 49 -- Adam Ant - Room At The Top (1990)

YES!!! HES ACTUALLY LIVE!!!! It was hes big comeback in 1990, reaching No.13. It also happens to be his final top 20 to date. The face of the eightees, Adam ruled the airwaves in the early eightees but sadly faded into obscurity by 1985's Vive Le Rock album which only only reached No.42 in england. But His next album, featuring this, was co produced by Andre Cymone, princes late 70's bassist. It had a fresh pop-funk sound, and was a respectable hit, reaching No.19.

NUMBER 48 -- Jamiroquai Ft. Anastasia - Bad Girls

The strangest duet ever! Performed at 2002's brit awards, this amazing performance portraits Jamiroquai at their best. An awsome bass line and anastasias Ultra-Strong voice make this a spectacualer performance. Whilst jamiroquai are some of the best musicians, its Jay's and Anastasias dancing that really tops it of. They way they dance in time to the music really does make you get the feelinbg they really enjoy what their doing and have good rythem.

NUMBER 47 -- David Bowie - Fashion (1980)

FRom Jonathon ross 2002. This was bowies follow up to 1980s ashes to ashes. It reached No.5 in the uk. Taken From his return to fame album "Scary Monsters", it was a return to simplicity. Motivated by a pumping bass line and a looped drum machine, it featured crazy lyrics such as "Talk to me dont talk to me, listen me dont to me" !! and "We are the goon squad and were coming to town" ! Also, a highlight of the record was the crazy guitar solo, made from rapid scraping of the strings from chord chord. A highpoint of career.

NUMBER 46 -- Queen - Its A Hard Life (1984)

Taken from a concert in japan. Arguably one of the catchiest songs queen ever performed, it was a highlight of 1984s "The Works" album. After the disapointing sales and recievle of 1982's "Hot Space", which featured Queen-Gone-Disco, they decided to return to basics for the next album. Some of the singles included Radio Ga-Ga and I Want To Break Free.

Do the songs have to be from certain years, or is this just anything?

well in this forum 'retro' means preferably over ten years old... certainly last decade please.

I think the rules on this should be that every song is pre-Gun ;)
