10.3 million views for the video in ten days. It started strong but the views really dropped after the day 2.... Seem to have stabilized since but pretty low daily.

In comparison it’s out of the top 50 in Australia after one week.

when literally the opposite is true. Songs "sell" loads without even making the top 40 and things that scrape the top 10 end up sticking around for months on end

UK is actually the best country for this right now! In most countries, it's hovering around top 100 on Spotify. I know at least in Finland, there have been plenty of big new albums out in recent two weeks which has caused some -10 position drops at once.
