Put yourself in my place is a beautiful track and kylies vocals are fantastic on it, shame it missed out on going top 10 at the time, it wouldn't be in my own top 10 Kylie songs but I do like it.

Never too late I'm a big fan of it in every way and another track I'd like to see her revisit more on tours and I also love the artwork for the single

Thanks again for another great contribution Padamic_Tension!

Y

The only thing I wasn’t to keen on for Never Too Late is its music video, other than that it’s a real solid pop song.

'Put Yourself in My Place' is majestic

'Never Too Late' is also easily my favourite EY single, loves it!

Thanks Jessie!

I know I’ve said it before, but it has really been quite the challenge ordering this top 10.

So I, left with the following (alphabetical order):

Breathe

Confide In Me

In Your Eyes

Spinning Around

Quite a good quartet of songs I think.

Its a very different top 4 but each of those songs all have their fair share of fans, only 1 of these songs would make my top 5, 1 of them would be a low top 20 and the others below that again.

Wow! I love that fans have such different tastes and rankings.

It’s also great to see the respect and friendliness shown here, we all have different opinions but everyone has been very warm and welcoming.

It’s been a bit of a long day at work today so I’m hoping to do #4 and #3 tomorrow.

Following that I plan on doing a list of my favourite albums tracks before doin #2 and #1.

I'm enjoying your countdown and also looking forward to your list of favourite album tracks as to be fair to kylie she has a good few album tracks that are better than some of her singles.

Thanks, I agree. Some of her albums tracks and probably most or all of the ones I’ll post are above at least one or two singles from their respective albums.

4. Spinning Around

Just missing out on a spot in the top 3 is the song which could be argued reintroduced Kylie to the wider pop world in 2000. Spinning Around was released in June 2000 and was Kylies first full release solo single in over two years! The lead single from the comeback pop album relaunched Kylie as a certified pop start whole could still deliver an absolute knockout single. This would go on to be as much as confirmed a week after release where it would debut at #1 in both Australia and the UK. In Australia it was Kylie's first #1 single since 1994s Confide In Me and in the UK since 1990s Tears On My Pillow. I can distinctively remember hearing and seeing this for the first time on a Saturday night on the Pepsi Music Chart Show and I thought it was great, I was well into my pop loving ways by this stage. I went off this for a while in the 2010s but over the last few years I've really got back on board with it. So much so that for a while I was very tempted to have this at #1 for me.

3. Breathe

Taking the bronze medal in my singles rank is the third single from Impossible Princess, Breathe. Like Spinning Around before it I had this at #1 for a stage too, the top 4 or 5 are all that high quality for me that it's incredibly difficult to separate them. My memories of discovering Breathe are still pretty clear, it came after Did It Again so by this point I was fully aware who Kylie Minogue was (and yes that she absolutely was not a girl group like I thought with Did It Again). I use to wake up early on Saturday morning and watch the weekly top 50 singles countdown on ABC and I can remember Breathe coming on and enjoying it but not being a huge fan. For me at the time it was a little removed from the likes of Steps, B*Witched & Billie Piper, but there was something about it that just seemed to get into my subconscious as when it'd come on every week I'd find myself just sitting quietly watching it. I'm very happy to say it's only grown over the past two plus decades for me and I absolutely adore it now.

Spinning Around - This is nowhere near my favourite, but I do have the occasional moment with this song and of course it's perfect for the story around her big comeback.

Breathe - Just absolutely lush  Like the whole album.

Breathe is so lush, it still sounds so fresh to me. Almost like it’d fit in with music now.

Spinning around is also nowhere near a favourite of mine as a song but as i always say i appreciate what it did for her career.

Breathe on the other hand is fantastic i absolutely adore the song and its a huge shame it wasn't a far bigger hit than it was.

I don't think 'Breathe' sounds that commercial, I think it did okay to say it was the 3rd single from a campaign at a point in time when she couldn't even get arrested.
At the time breathe was released the interest in kylie was so low that it probably didnt matter what she released but it was the standout from the IP album for me

I did think Spinning Around was a bit of loved by the fan base, so this is a little surprising.

Ya i think the same or as i have often said i still think if the song was used as a sample or feature by some other artist it could get the song some attention that its missed out on.
