November 23, 2024Nov 23 I really don't like Dean now, wtf was that about with Alan?! Voted for GK to be camp leader, I need her to get more air timeI hope we see more of Melvin, Oti & Barry too. He said he needed his contacts, but you're not meant to sleep with them in, surely? Even then, it seemed to largely be a communication issue.
November 23, 2024Nov 23 Thoroughly enjoying this series so far, it's a really likeable group of people on the whole. Dean's irritating me and I think he was very rude to Alan tonight. Loving GK, Tulisa and Maura the most so far  Richard is also hilarious so far, he and Maura have made for a superb unlikely double act.
November 24, 2024Nov 24 Yeh it seemed to be a communication misunderstanding between Dean and Alan but Dean was very rude to him, I mean Alan felt he had to go down so Jane wasn’t left doing it herself in the dark which I assume is a H&S issue hence why they are told to go together.
November 24, 2024Nov 24 Sure it could have been a communication issue but Dean was still out of order with his tone and the way he was literally talking down to Alan and even after all that he let Jane struggle with the massive bag of wood when he had like 3 bits  Dean is only concerned with keeping up appearances imo, he was bothered by that bc it shows he's not contributing how he should be in the camp, that's without considering how shit he's been in trials, he was napping on Danny's bed, even the way he was the one to show everyone round the junk yard when really it should have been Maura and Richard, I really do think he's just playing to the cameras trying to get as much air time as possible
November 24, 2024Nov 24 Totally agree! Also love how his contact lenses seemed to affect his hearing as well as his eye sight Edited November 24, 2024Nov 24 by Steve201
November 24, 2024Nov 24 Yeah, Dean really let himself down in last night's episode. It definitely looked like he initially refused to help Jane and then thought better of it (i.e. how bad he'll look by refusing). The contact lens excuse was a load of crap. I wear contacts and have never needed a few minutes to adjust - also never do I sleep with them in unless I passed out drunk the night before. Poor Alan dealt with him well - I'm sure if it had been Danny or Barry in Alan's position, Dean wouldn't have reacted that way. I can't see this show being good for Dean's career tbh. On a better note, Maura and Richard remain icons! :cheeseblock: Really loving Wagatha and Oti too.
November 24, 2024Nov 24 This is the first series I've watched past the first episode in many years so it shows to me they're a bunch worth watching. I haven't been Dean's biggest fan (I won't listen to him on Radio 1) and he's continuing to cement that opinion  Maura and Richard make brilliant additions to the cast (Maura to win tbh, queen of saying whatever she wants).
November 24, 2024Nov 24 Dean is just supremely selfish which comes across terrible around good and unselfish people. I wish people stop voting him for trials though
November 24, 2024Nov 24 Tbf if Dean just persevered and managed to get through one trial successfully, the voting public would lay off him. I'd like to see Maura and Tulisa do a trial.
November 24, 2024Nov 24 Barry coming top 2 to become leader felt a bit of a surprise - was expecting Maura to be up there. Ugh at more of Dean doing trials. Understandable though as he is just irratating and grating
November 24, 2024Nov 24 Dean still doing the trials is becoming annoying now. I think he's not helping matters as he's not bossed it yet. I think the whole thing with the chores is going to be very split down the middle. I don't think Danny & Barry had any ill intention, personally.
November 24, 2024Nov 24 I say it every year but there needs to be a voting rule in place that if you do a trail you’re exempt from doing the following trail afterwards to avoid the same person just doing all the trails . It happens everywhere and you would think the producers would learn to not let it happen ! Edited November 24, 2024Nov 24 by troylovesmusic
November 24, 2024Nov 24 I think it's went from "let's vote Dean because he's funny and OTT" to "Let's vote Dean to make him miserable as he's our least favourite". I'm starting to dislike Barry a bit, dare I say... He basically did put all the women on washing up as he didn't think they'd be capable of heavier tasks so idk why he's denying that when Jane rightfully called him out??
November 25, 2024Nov 25 I'm starting to dislike Barry a bit, dare I say... He basically did put all the women on washing up as he didn't think they'd be capable of heavier tasks so idk why he's denying that when Jane rightfully called him out?? Yeah that irked me a bit too. The excuse of 'we didn't even think like that?' Umm yeah because it's unconscious bias! (but I guess in their defence they may have thought they'd look bad and unchivalrous if they put her on water or wood duty? But she did specify she didn't want to clean)
November 25, 2024Nov 25 oh my god, GK's conversation with Richard absolutely sent me she has absolutely no filter and I'm obsessed
November 25, 2024Nov 25 Hopefully someone else gets to do this trial. I'm guessing Jane. Enjoyed the chats between GK and Richard.
