Dean was fairly irritating too. Overall it was alright but defo needed to be watched with the FF button in hand

I enjoy it more because it’s a lead up to Christmas tradition to watch and we always have a cheese board and stuff for the first episode as it’s fun seeing them skydiving. But gutted the tower one was taken off as it was really scary watching it.

 

Felt like this was the first series for ages where they didn't start with some form of tower challenge, they were getting a bit boring so glad they dropped it.

 

Early days but a strong start considering I knew barely any of them. Barry is gonna be good craic!

The tower challenge always leaves me bored. Mind You having 20 minutes dedicated to them jumping out of a plane was also kind of boring :D They need to basically just get on with it and stop with the OTT helicopter production. The actual challenges themselves to get into the jungle were more interesting, but actually a bit thin on the ground in the end.

 

Have to say though, so good there isn't a right wing politician on there for a change - especially after the low last year of Farage

I agree with the sentiment but I personally enjoyed the Tower challenge the most as i wouldnt be able to do it myself.

 

Dont like Barry, served him in a hotel i used to work in and he gave me a 26p tip :arrr: :lol:

GK did well as although she was clearly scared, she did get on with it and was funny too. I can't see the same happening with Dean.

 

Its a good line-up though and was a good ep - am starting to think Danny doesn't have it quite so in the bag

Yeah I think he's your typical 'runs out of steam' constant although hopefully not as I have a bet on him.

I'm definitely in the camp of growing tired of IAC's format over the last decade (or more) but I seem to always end up tuning into the launch lol - maybe a mix of Big Brother withdrawals, the run up to Xmas and the nightly supply of reality tv. :lol: Though I have to say, this year's line-up does look very promising already. I loved Dean and Colleen in their sinking boat, GK Barry (who I've never heard of/seen until now) is hilarious and I can see her already being a contender to win! Danny comes across exactly how I'd expect him to - a through and through nice chilled guy who probably is the one to beat. Tulisa - I never liked her persona in N Dubz but warmed to her during her X Factor run (her Little Mix/Muffins year particularly :wub:) and her trial/set-up drama and I suspect she will come across well/redeem her reputation on this show.

 

I do normally find myself switching off a few episodes in because it gets boring quick (besides the trials) but hopefully there's something that will keep me hooked. Also, WHERE IS MAURA HIGGINS? I expected her to be in the line-up! Hopefully she's a late arrival as that would be kind of iconic if she entered during the live group trial.

GK is my fave and who I'm backing to win but idk if she'll go all the way, I think she'll need to win over the Facebook mums who don't believe social media etc is a celebrity career path :lol: tbf my own mum thought she was funny in her trial last night after thinking she was a pain in the arse in the first episode so maybe there's hope there :kink: I feel like they'll all flock to Danny though, I just don't find him that interesting to watch, he's not offering anything we've not seen before as much as he seems nice enough etc

 

I do like Tulisa a lot so she's my next favourite, I'd like to see how she'd handle a trial tbh. I like Dean as well but I think he could become irritating fairly quickly, Coleen is coming across well also but I think she could maybe become a bit lost in the background especially if Maura Higgins is meant to be joining the cast who's quite a big personality. Oti seems fun as well so I'm enjoying her screen time, I think this could be an all women's final if Danny does run out of steam.

Definitely hoping for an all-female top 3. Tulisa, GK and Maura (if she's coming in) is a real possibility. I think Barry could do well with the older voters and Oti also could be a dark horse. She's a wholesome sweetheart who was very popular with the Strictly audience from what I saw.

Danny's the most nailed on winner ever. He's already as low as 6/4 to win :lol:

I think when you combine the whole he ticks every winner box thing with his McFly fanbase...yeah, I think he's looking pretty unstoppable really.

 

Nice to see Tulisa shortening, though! Down to as low as 6/1. I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if she's the runner-up. She's coming across really well so far.
