Posted September 24, 2024Sep 24 It looks as if they're gearing up to announce something to do with the 15th anniversary of their debut album on Friday - I just got this little teaser image over email: Kind of hoping it's a reissue TBH - ideally on vinyl as well!
September 25, 2024Sep 25 Yeah, probably a 15th anniversary release with a few remixes/new tracks thrown in.

October 31, 2024Oct 31 Author Nice couple of retrospective reels they've done for their Instagram recently, including some never before seen B-roll footage from the Beat Again video shoot! View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram They're also doing an album signing at HMV Westfield London on 11th November - wristbands have already sold out for it!
November 8, 2024Nov 8 Author Out today. Have to say the Unplugged versions of Everybody In Love and Crazy For You are beautiful, I'm surprised they've not done an acoustic album yet. New edit of the Beat Again video is also out today, intercut with behind the scenes and never before seen B-roll footage from the original film reels: wAjonB0Z6zs
March 3Mar 3 Author They've gone up a bit tardily considering the album came out four months ago, but they've been adding some more J15 stuff to their YouTube in the last few weeks:The last video of these is particularly interesting to watch as it has the previously unseen rushes from their video for "Hallelujah" which obviously would have been their single if they'd won The X Factor. Parallel universe! Edited March 3Mar 3 by ThePensmith
March 3Mar 3 Oh god, imagine if Hallelujah was their first single.I don't think JLS would have won if the two finalists got to sing a different song for the winners single (which they later implemented) but it may have been a lot closer.I would certainly like to see the full video though.

March 18Mar 18 I'm thinking a tour.It could be a new release but I think it's difficult for an act like them to get their fans interested in the new stuff.
March 20Mar 20 Author Announcement at 7pm tonight. Seems to be pointing towards something to do with "The Club Is Alive". March 30Mar 30 Re: the bit about Simon Cowell only signing the winner, it did remain the case. For that series anyway - the other acts were signed to "offshoot" labels such as Epic Records and RCA. I can't say I'm too surprised that they're focusing on touring over new material. To add to what I said above, when I went to see them in 2023, the fans went crazy for most of their stuff but they weren't feeling Eternal Love at all (in comparison anyway).
March 30Mar 30 It took nearly 15 years for their debut album to go from 4x Platinum to 5x Platinum. I'll probably be in my 40s when it goes 6x Platinum.

To add to what I said above, when I went to see them in 2023, the fans went crazy for most of their stuff but they weren't feeling Eternal Love at all (in comparison anyway).I think if memory serves me correctly it was because the final three from the year before all got deals with SyCo (Leon Jackson, Rhydian and Same Difference) but none of them did very well compared to Leona or even Shayne. In hindsight, best thing that happened to them going with Epic because Nick Raphael there who then also signed Olly Murs after his series did wonders with them.I get the feeling we'll get more new material from them one day - still love 2.0, it was a wicked album - but it probably needs a strong marketing hook like an anniversary to hang from. I wouldn't be surprised if we get the 15th anniversary of the Outta This World album this year after the debut album celebrations last year.
