This can't be legit. Somebody's fiddled the numbers here surely?

Billboard hiding numbers this week specifically on their chart breakdown... Something stinks. :lame:

"Die With A Smile" is expected to be the second-biggest song of the 2020s decade by the end of 2025.

#24 (+3) in its 34th week in the chart. The longevity! It is only 3 more weeks away from being Gaga's longest-running top 40 hit! It is currently held by "Poker Face", which did 34 weeks in the top 4

Radio keeps spinning it like crazy, so there's still a chance in January when Christmas is over and Kendrick cools off.

Yeah, I suppose DWAS can catch A Bar Song in airplay in January and it has the chance. Hot 100 is always a long game anyway, because airplay is taken into account. Without it a song needs to have massive streams and sales to be #1 which DWAS hasn't had (even Espresso and Birds of a Feather failed).

The gap between this and APT. on Spotify was only 20k on Thursday :drama:

Should have been the lead single, with Disease the follow up.
Does it really matter if it's attached to an album or not though?

Some of The Beatles' biggest songs are non-album singles (like Hey Jude and All You Need Is Love).

The point is that based on Disease's performance (and if LG7's second single doesn't take off), adding DWAS would be more than necessary. :lulu2:

If Rose put APT on her album, then Gaga can do it too, I see no reason to be against that.

By the time LG7 comes out, DWAS will have sold around 5M units in the US, which would convert into 500k album units. LG7 would be certified gold upon its debut if she adds DWAS on it.

True, but AS IF Interscope would pay for any certifications lmao

I get it from technical point of view but it's not like DWAS streams are astronomical per country - 300k in the UK and 1.3M in the US so the tracks of LG7 are surely able to beat those so whether it is or is not on the album doesn't have much impact on first week streams/sales. And in the UK one needs at least 3 songs streaming well anyway. However, the song is released via Interscope so there is a decent chance it will appear on LG7.

So to be clear, I am happy if it is on the album but not too fussed if it is not. In the big picture people will be like...

and not think about if it's on Gaga's album or not.

I wasn't talking about first week figures but rather pre-release units for certification purposes...

And DWAS is outstreaming Disease with US numbers alone so if she doesn't come up with a second single that pleases not only monsters but also GP this time, I'm afraid you'll regret those words. :gaga:
