who said anything about having to do only 1? they're not exclusive

i'm kinda thinking it has to be some shenanigans that go behind the curtains that we dont know

probably she wanted more $$$ :D

This is my guess too... the shows are 4 weeks apart and not mutually exclusive. There have been plenty of acts that have done both in the past (like Madonna performing Living for Love).

JAAAAADE! Making history as the first British ex-girl group member to win a solo BRIT award!

  • Great speech from Myles addressing the closure of grassroots venues and labels not investing in acts long term.

Or maybe Charli just doesn't want to strain her body or overwhelm herself with a Grammys performance in the US, tour in AUS and BRITs performance in the UK all back to back? Charli explained before that she has nerve damage in her neck from performing.

Fully here for Jade to give us a performance that is what Geri Halliwell doing "Bag It Up" in 2000 was. I feel certain she'll leave no crumbs at all.

No one did. What I meant was Charli would choose one or the other, not that she’s been forced to pick between them. :P

Yay! She’ll be such a big draw for viewers. Hoping they can bag Chappell too! This BRITs should be all about the pop girls. :kink:

Yeah, that'd be big for them. The rumor was that she was deep in negotiations, maybe we'll hear more about that soon

Sabrina should definitely be performing at the Brits she spent half the year at #1 last year and Britain was hugely responsible in her success
She is touring in the British Isles starting March 3 so the BRITS performance was a no-brainer. That "Global Success Award" is very much a made-up award though. They have sporadically given out Global Icon Award but never this one.

This isn't a new award, they gave it out from 2013-2019 to One Direction, Adele, Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran before quietly putting it on hiatus. But I agree mostly with the sentiment, it's just being given out to get her to perform

They are all British though. :P

So was the Outstanding Contribution To Music honour until they gave it to P!nk in 2019. :P

Thanks, I didn't even check that far because had no memory of those :D

All those are British artists though, and Sabrina... isn't.

She spent enough time living at #1 last year that she was able to establish residency lol

lol so they just hand out made up awards to American acts they want to perform. :P

Gaga received that nonsense "Tricon Award" at VMAs in 2020. She won others too though, but that was the extra they made her the star of the night. I would think the BRITs are doing the same here, especially if Charli does not perform her victory lap which would be a shame.
