08 Max Verstappen, good but not a 10 imho

-01 Sergio Perez, the worst of the worst, should have been kicked halfway thru the season, his head was not there for the last races

06 Lewis Hamilton, ok-ish but disappointing overall

06 George Russell, same, sometimes shows potential, sometimes it's a mess

08 Charles Leclerc, cannot deny he's quick

08 Carlos Sainz, great year, undeservedly replaced by Hamilton next year

07 Lando Norris, ok but not great, lacks so much

07 Oscar Piastri, sometimes great, sometimes not there at all

08 Fernando Alonso, great considering the bad car in the last part of the year

02 Lance Stroll, should be ashamed and give up

07 Pierre Gasly, great, one of the best this year

05 Esteban Ocon, Gasly obliterated him

00 Logan Sargeant, just no

05 Alexander Albon, ok-ish at most

04 Daniel Ricciardo, disappointing

05 Yuki Tsunoda, just there but not red Bull material

03 Zhou Guanyu, shouldn't be in F1

03 Valtteri Bottas, should have retired ages ago

07 Nico Hulkenberg, great

04 Kevin Magnussen, too aggressive in a bad way, so many errors, anther one that should have retired ages ago

05 Oliver Bearman, okish

05 Liam Lawson, okish bit too eager still has much to prove

04 Franco Colapinto, started well but too many errors of late

04 Jack Doohan, not amazed by him

10 Max Verstappen - still very much the class of the field and pulled out impressive results when the car was no longer miles ahead however can't give him an 11 this year due to the numerous scuffles

02 Sergio Perez - a compete embarrassment save from a few races at the start of the season, completely out of his depth in qualifying especially and cost RBR the constructors title

07 Lewis Hamilton - 2 mega victories saved the season and still has very strong racecraft but really underperformed in qualifying this season, last season at merc so lower motivation perhaps playing a part

08 George Russell - bounced back impressively after a poor 2023, dominated the quali H2H against Lewis and very much showed world champion potential if given a more consistent car

09 Charles Leclerc - extremely strong showing this year, maximising results most weekends and pulling off impressive wins, eliminated the silly mistakes plaguing him in past seasons

07 Carlos Sainz Jr - some very big highlights and definitely unlucky to lose his seat however there were still weekends where he was lagging far behind Charles, suggesting a lack of consistency

08 Lando Norris - a big step forward into the deep end with the best car for most of the season, pulling off some superb drives however he didn't make the most of it at times and should have put up a better fight for the title

07 Oscar Piastri - another mostly impressive season for a still relatively inexperienced driver, his Baku win in particular was stunning, but was particularly poor in quali and had too many off weekends to help Lando

07 Fernando Alonso - tricky to rank due to having one of the worst drivers as a team mate so hard to tell exactly how bad the AM was - did all the heavy lifting but has definitely lost a few tenths of pace compared with last season

01 Lance Stroll - easily his worst year to date despite being 8 seasons in, completely outperformed in every department and some unforgivable mistakes (*cough* Brazil) to top it off

07 Pierre Gasly - a largely underwhelming season in a poor car overshadowed by a superb end to the season, pulling out a string of results to drag the team to 6th in the constructors

06 Esteban Ocon - a markedly average season, losing again in the standings to his teammate but the pace was pretty close - the big highlight of Brazil putting some gloss on the year

02 Logan Sargeant - completely failed to kick on despite getting a largely undeserved second shot, absolutely hopeless in qualifying once again and then became too crash happy

06 Alexander Albon - a very strong start to campaign but completely derailed in the final third with many uncharacteristic mistakes and weak drives, will be interesting to see him against a strong teammate again next season

03 Daniel Ricciardo - had a golden opportunity to impress and grab the second senior team seat but offered very little save for a strong sprint race in Miami, seldom looked impressive against his teammate

07 Yuki Tsunoda - solid and mostly reliable without being spectacular, had the measure of both team mates and showed impressive glimpses of pace, however the mad moments still appear from time to time

04 Zhou Guanyu - his euphoric moment in Qatar is not enough to save what's been a largely disappointing season, he was utterly annihilated in the quali H2H against Bottas and showed very little else on race days

06 Valtteri Bottas - despite not scoring he has been unlucky to have such a terrible car in likely his last season as he thoroughly outclassed his teammate and could have pulled off some eye-catching results in better machinery

08 Nico Hulkenberg - arguably the driver of the season in the first half of the year with some incredulous qualifying performances and solid points scoring, things went a bit south towards the end of the season but a thoroughly impressive campaign in general

05 Kevin Magnussen - put in some super drives here and there but was comprehensively outperformed by his teammate in both quali & races and showed his dirty side with questionable driving tactics culminating in an unprecedented race ban

07 Oliver Bearman - impressive stand in performances at both Ferrari and Haas under tough circumstances, looked comfortable and earned his spot on next season's grid

06 Liam Lawson - a decent showing in the races he was given but perhaps underperformed to the expectations, hasn't shown to be outright faster than Yuki and had several avoidable mistakes

06 Franco Colapinto - started off with a fanfare first few races but his stock has plummeted after some silly mistakes, definitely deserved his spot over Sargeant and should be back on the grid sometime down the line

05 Jack Doohan - not a lot to go off with just the one outing, qualifying last was not an ideal start but drove a solid unspectacular race, keeping out of trouble

10 Max Verstappen - potentially his best championship, delivered when his car was the best and kept pace when it wasn't

1 Sergio Perez - probably in the worst 5 seasons since i started watching f1

7 Lewis Hamilton - still a top driver in races but continually let down by is qualifying, will need to up his game vs Leclerc

7 George Russell - a solid season,

8 Charles Leclerc - regularly got the better of his team mate and delivered the maximum from the car

7 Carlos Sainz Jr - this season pretty much summed up Sainz, consistently good and capable of delivering over and above in the odd race

7 Lando Norris - a really difficult one to grade, in some ways he's had as impressive season as anyone on the grid, but often let down by his own starts and he should really have delivered a closer title fight in the second half of the season

7 Oscar Piastri - an improvement this season, worryingly tailed off in the last few races. the potential is there to be McLaren's challenger.

6 Fernando Alonso - possibly the hardest driver on the grid to accurately judge given his teammate and the dog of a car

3 Lance Stroll - getting worse

8 Pierre Gasly - wasn't ever underperforming his car and then had the best last few races of anyone

4 Esteban Ocon - just average generally, marked down for the way he lost his seat

2 Logan Sargeant - was let down by Williams in some ways (giving Albon his car) which would have dented confidence, but did nothing close to warranting any more time

5 Alexander Albon - think this was his least impressive season in Williams, some costly crashes

3 Daniel Ricciardo - just utterly disappointing, painful to watch his most recent years given I was once such a fan. please let this be the end.

5 Yuki Tsunoda - as mid as mid gets

4 Zhou Guanyu - bumped up by a cracking drive in Qatar

4 Valtteri Bottas - knocked down by that showing in Abu Dhabi. a shame to watch him at times

9 Nico Hulkenberg - brilliantly consistent, a shame Haas couldn't quite get 6th in the constructors. Proved his status as a brilliant midfield driver

5 Kevin Magnussen - did ok at times, but probably right that this is his time in F1 up

6 Oliver Bearman - has looked impressive on his outings, looking forward to seeing more of him

5 Liam Lawson - was expecting more after last season

5 Franco Colapinto - excitement followed by poor
