6 different albums released by Elvis in 71 must be a record!

 

Actually, the record is held by Jim Reeves with 11 new albums to the UK hitting the Top 20 in 1964, the year of his death in a plane accident.

I should add that in 1990, Iron Maiden charted 10 quasi albums in the Top 20, which were really 12" singles, too long to be included in the Singles chart - plus one genuine album. So, technically, they equalled Jim Reeves' record.

a bit of cheating cos they basically were double 12" singles and not albums at all
