  • There's also quite a few drivers who had multiple poles but didn't convert any of them to wins e.g.: Chris Amon - 5 pole positions but never won a race Keke Rosberg - 5 pole positions and 5 victories

It wouldn't be changing the cars just for one track. Hungary, Jeddha, Barcelona, Singapore, Miami, Suzuka, Imola all have problems delivering overtaking. You would improve the racing across the board.

Except for Lewis. He's really struggling still

insane how well did Leclerc perform (and how badly Hamilton)

Zero chance he converts it tomorrow, McLaren have left stuff on the table many times this season in qualifying. Mega lap from Charles but his pole to win rate is terrible. Hamilton had another shocker there, he even said the team should look for another driver ouch.

That was the only race so far this season that McLaren were genuinely awful for some reason. I think they'll dominate tomorrow I still don't think Ferrari have strong race pace.

The biggest WTF is how the Aston Martins went from qualifying 19th and 20th literally one week ago to 5th and 6th today!

Stroll showing his inner Nick Heidfeld with that qualifying.

but I bet he won’t get crucified for it unlike Lando

No one is destroying Lewis except himself. He's never been capable of getting extra out of a poor handling car and never shown himself to be capable of improving a bad one. The current Ferrari is not a bad car. It's a bit twitchy to be fair but Lewis requires a stable platform to excel and now he's getting on a bit his reactions aren't what they were and he can't compensate.

Frankly he should really think carefully about his future as he should probably have walked away at least two years ago.

Unfortunately he's just the latest in a long line of multi-world champions to struggle at Ferrari. The cycle keeps repeating and I never thought it would change with Lewis either. The car is terrible for a team that was supposed to build on last season and challenge for a title, remember they took the constructor's championship to Abu Dhabi last year and now they're probably gonna finish over 500 points behind McLaren. That's embarrassing.

As much as Lewis is undeniably underperforming even if he was matching Leclerc he still wouldn't have won any GPs this season. It's all about the 2026 reg changes, he has to see it through now. Wouldn't make sense to call time at the end of this year.

No doubt he'll hang until next year but the general expectation is the cars will be much more of a handful to drive. For that reason alone I doubt it will go well for him.

still laughing at george in the cooldown room “why didn’t you t-bone him?” and lando and Oscar immediately being traumatized 😭😭😭

An tense end to the race between the two McLaren drivers. Looking forward to seeing the title battle after the summer break.

Thought it was a decent enough race. Lando was error free for once and that made the difference
